In this video The Lallantop’s Upasana Verma talked about the INS Arighat. India has commissioned its second nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, INS Arighat. The submarine, which carries the pennant number S3 and means “destroyer of the enemy,” is the successor to the INS Arihant, which was commissioned in August 2016. This new vessel bolsters India's nuclear triad, improving its deterrence capabilities across land, sea, and air. INS Arighat’s nuclear reactor enables it to travel at speeds of 12 to 15 knots on the surface and 20 to 24 knots underwater. It can carry between 10 and 12 K-15 nuclear-armed submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs) and is equipped with four vertical launch tubes for these missiles, which have a range of about 750 km. In this video Upasana explained -
