This arbitrary restriction on Cotton not watching returning intros is so weird and unnecessary, especially since they watch fully new Monsters' intros together. It's just not working out as a good decision in any regard, as it deprives their shared reactions and really doesn't improve the in-hunt first impressions at all.

Seething Bazelgeuse and Bazelgeuse are having the time of their lives and are given the best titles for their intros. First, Bazel had ‘Party Crasher’ and now Seething is ‘Death from above’ Both are very accurate

I was very impressed with how aggressive seething Bazelgeuse was when I first fought him. It made the fight much more fun than base Bazelgeuse, while also upping the fear factor with those blooming bombs. I also love how you can shut down his powered up mode by doing enough damage, while also doing a considerable amount of damage by shutting down his powered up mode. I'm amazed I managed to do this without carting on my first try. I do have to nitpick the hunters notes description of Seething Bazelgeuse though. It says that his scales are blue, but that looks more like purple to me.

That guy almost Triple Carted me. Granted it was totally my fault though. I tried to block his big nuke but I forgot that the armor set I was currently wearing did not have Guard-Up. Turns out you can't block the big nuke without Guard-Up. And it really hurts.

I greatly appreciate how Rise/Sunbreak includes how brutal and strong the monsters are in their introduction cutscenes- whether it's Steve pinning down a Rathian and leaving it to die or Furious Rajang taking on Kushala, I enjoy watching how the developers portray their capabilities. So it's really cool seeing Seething Bazel taking on two monsters at once as opposed to showing off its capabilities in Iceborne and looking pretty. (P.S. R.I.P. Bazel, if you know you know.)

@@wiiu-theunderratedconsole7569 Having fought the monsters already, Silver Rathalos roasting the bazelgeuse was wholly unexpected and I felt a tinge of pity for the B-52 monster, while Kushala deserved all of the pain from Gold Rathian. Lucent Nargacuga deserves a much better intro other than showing "ooh, it can go invisible" or "look how speedy and agile it is".

i have quite A LOT of rare drops (i got 2 Lucent rare drops from just the three times i hunted him!); i don't think i need to buy them. but it's nice to have that convenience when you need a rare drop, but couldn't be bothered to hunt it (i know the feeling from Iceborne).

My second ever armor reroll on the Golm greaves I use for my SnS sets took it from a 2 2 1, to a 4 3 1 at the cost on one level of the innate Stamina Thief. This system is insane.

From what I'm seeing is Josh accepts the quest and cotton just joins and doesn't look st the details and skips all dialogue and cutscenes (which he can watch after the initial hunt/reaction)

So it feels random, but a decent number of games actually cap things on powers of two (a nod to the days when your data was hard capped on there based on how big a type of storage you used). Okay, so I have a funny story from a seething bazelgeuse hunt I did just before watching this. I put a join request on the seething Bazelgeuse after a triumphant victory over the four monsters solo. Nobody joined for a bit and I thought, eh I can handle this myself. Then a lance user joined and walked into the fight at the absolute worst time. They walked in right as he was finishing his embombing run and got one shot so brutally. I couldn't help busting out laughing when that happened just because of how well it was timed. They still continued the quest, though they quit after getting another cart. Thankfully I managed to do most of the quest by myself, then a light bowgun user joined right as Seething Bazelgeuse was about to die.

This was the first time fighting Seething Bazel for me and I was quite terrified since I’m a bow main and most attacks could take me down to 10 % health The metal Raths were even more terrifying

Capcom really upped Seething Bazelgeuse in Sunbreak. In Iceborne she was just a normal Bazelgeuse but was (a little bit) faster and had bigger explosions. The most disappointing part is that it's invader status was taken by rather lackluster monsters. Here in Sunbreak, Seething Bazelgeuse is a lot more agile, (about as fast as a Rathalos). Every attack of hers drops bombs and she drops quite a lot. Also that nova is just gorgeous 10/10 would cart.
