Ihr könnt da alle dran rummeckern. Ich hab Equilibrium schon gehört, als die kaum jemand kannte und mit den Jungs im Backstage gefeiert. Dass sie sich weiterentwickeln, finde ich gut und richtig - und mal von allem abgesehen, hat Robert eine tolle Singstimme, die ich gerne höre. Und die Butcher Sisters sind sowieso genial. Für einen so guten Rapper würden die meisten "richtigen Rapper" ihre Seele verkaufen! 11/10 Punkten! :)

0:12 quite a bit to read.... but true. and a lot deeper than i ever would have expected. "if you throw a stone into a lake, how far will the waves travel" is a nice picture for the same concept. The influence we may have on others are not always clear to us - especially if it is an indirect influence, which usually is something we dont think to much about. Or do you ever consider ALL consequences of your choices? IF you say, "yes I do", something may be wrong with your perception, because how could you possibly know all possible outcomes. equilibrium was never realy pagan though, just folk metal. pagan band take inspiration from pre christian religion and make songs about that, equi was more like fairytales and traditional german folk music.

Ich kenne die Band auch schon seit Anfang an. Sicher hat das Album nichts mit dem zutun was man von früher gewohnt ist aber, schlecht ist es nicht. Sie gehen neue Wege und bleiben nicht stehen. Die Sache ist, ich hab Equilibrium durch Empfehlung des Armageddon Albums kennengelernt. Das war im Frühjahr 2019. Musste mich schon hart an diese Fun Tracks gewöhnen wo man auf einmal Mario-Jump Sounds im Hintergrund hörte etc., ist Geschmacksache. Wohingegen Rekreatur oder Waldschrein durch die Bank weg absolute Brecher sind. Und das auch noch aus Deutschland! Wirklich, ich feier diesen puren und brachialen Equilibrium Sound sehr. Und jetzt bahnt sich das neue Album an. Die erste Single war absolute Oberklasse, hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Brachial, Melodisch, königlich - Equilibrium wie man sie kennt und nochmal eine Schippe an Produktionstechnik oben drauf. Und dann höre ich das hier. Man soll den Tag nicht vor dem Abend loben aber nach dem zBsp Volbeat erst gestern mit einer sagen wir "weichen" Metal Platte aufgelegt haben und ich hier nun im Death Metal, Rap-Einlagen höre sinken meine Erwartungen leider sehr. Ich werde mir selbstverständlich das neue Equilibrium Album anhören wenn es rauskommt und mir ein abschließendes Fazit bilden. Bin gespannt. Danke fürs lesen 🤘

An sich ist das Lied nicht mal schlecht. Man muss halt mit der Zeit gehen und seine Musik immer anpassen, wenn man nicht als konservativ gelten will. Klar, ich habe auch andere Sachen erwartet, aber auch den jetzigen Stil finde ich geil. Sagas und Erdentempel sind und bleiben die besten Alben. Dies trifft nicht nur auf die Musik an sich, sondern auch auf meinen persönlichen Bezug zu. Wenn ihr Pagan wollt, hört euch doch einfach Sagas an. 😉

Also nach mehrmaligen Hören find ich es total geil, es ist immer noch episch, die Synthwavesachen gehen mir gut rein, der Sound ballert, TBS auch, die Cleanvocals sind echt sick und Equi überraschen, was ich spannender finde, als wenn sie nochmal ein Album in ihrer alten Art gemacht hätten (was sicher auch gut geworden wäre), man darf nicht den Maßstab der alten Sachen daran legen, weil es einfach was anderes ist, aber für das was es ist, ist es geil

Es gibt zwei Arten von Band: Die einen reproduzieren ihre ersten drei Alben immer und immer wieder. Die anderen entwickeln sich weiter und riskieren den Verlust vieler Fans. Für viele Fans der ersten Stunden fühlt sich das nach Verrat an. Der Fans hätte gerne Kontrolle über die Musik der Band. Menschen verändern sich, Geschmäcker ebenso. Die alte Musik geht jedoch nicht verloren. Ich finde die Entwicklung höchst interessant.

Glückwunsch, von der epischsten Band, die ich kannte zu generischem Bullshit. Ich habe alle Alben bis hin zu Erdentempel geliebt und auch Armageddon ging noch irgendwie klar. Aber das hier hat nichts mehr mit dem Equilibrium zu tun, durch das ich den letzten Schritt in die Metalszene gegangen bin. Das ist wirklich schade. Ich kann zwar verstehene, dass man irgendwie neues Publikum ansprechen möchte, aber man sollte sich dafür nicht derart verbiegen.

Ich glaube, dass das Problem ist, dass sie sich eben nicht verbiegen. Es hat doch nun schon länger den Anschein, dass die Band mehr Lust auf diese Art von Musik hat. Dass Folk Metal ihnen irgendwie nicht mehr alles gibt. Und deswegen machen sie jetzt eben, worauf sie Bock haben. In gewisser Weise eine gute Einstellung, aber vielen Fans wird das nicht gefallen. Ich warte jedenfalls noch das Album ab, bevor ich eine endgültige Meinung dazu habe. Aber ich fürchte, es sieht düster aus.

Find ick super, wie gespalten bzw eher eindeutig die Meinungen zum neuen Album ausfallen. Das Equilibrium allerdings schon seit Beginn ihrer Karriere eine Band war die eher aufgeschlossene Hörer ansprach, das scheinen viele schon vergessen zu haben. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt hatte die Band jemals etwas "traditionelles" im eigentlichen Sinn in ihrer Musik, war von Anfang an relativ experimentell und dass irgendwann mal ein erneuter, deutlicherer Stilbruch erfolgen könnte, das war auch vorhersehbar. Alles in allem macht die Band alles richtig (weil wie gewohnt).

Hört euch doch mal allein das Lied "Wenn Erdreich bricht" vom "Rekreatur" Album genauer an. Das klang schon damals dem Material auf dem neuen Album nicht sehr unähnlich und das war immerhin schon 2010. Da kann ich ehrlich gesagt so manche Kritik am neuen Album nicht nachvollziehen.
