Nucleum - Solo Review - Not Bored Gaming

One of the hottest games at Essen has now made it's way into peoples hands, and in this video I discuss my thoughts on the Solo Experience of Nucleum from Board & Dice and Designed by Simone Luciani & David Turczi.
Nucleum is a fairly heavy euro based around a new and exciting fuel source - in the solo game you play against the Baron to have the most effective infrastructure in place to become the leader in delivering energy to the cities.

Thanks for the review. Game looks interesting and I want to learn more. Thankfully I have game table so set up/boxing won't be an issue if I decide to dedicate a week with a couple of game plays. I'll definitely take your advice if I buy this and play till the first recharge then reset, but might take a day or two to absorb and think about what I learned.

Another great review Mark, and another great game from Board & Dice. My only negative on this game, like Barcelona is the lack of a proper insert to speed up set up, I don’t count the cardboard sections as a proper insert, I’ll have to wait for it to get the Folded Space treatment. So, is this better than Brass Birmingham?

Mark, you say it's one of this year's best solo euros, but where would you say it sits among some of your all time fave solo euros? There are so many amazing solo games now, I think, at least for me, I want the game to be incredible overall, rather than just incredible for the year it was released. Love your videos BTW and really value your reviews and walkthroughs!

Is there a different rule in solo where you can have more than one milestone marker in each tiers? Or in the video are you referring to having two markers in the same scoring segment? Anyway, thanks for the wonderful breakdown of the solo and review! Looking forward to my copy arriving sometime in the next month or so hopefully.
