Frank, cuando se organiza un recital del Indio Solari, en Argentina decimos que tenemos misa, si, como ir a la iglesia. Es mas, generalmente entra para ver el concierto el 40% de la gente que se congrega en el lugar donde se organiza. Mucha gente va en carpas, tratando de acampar donde sea, cuando digo donde sea, me refiero en plazas o pidiendo permiso en jardines o terrenos valdíos. Además de todo esto, a muchos comercios se le agota su stock de cervezas y vinos. Todo comienza una semana antes de los conciertos y termina días después. El Indio es una pasión.

Lo más increíble y único del Indio Solari es que desde siempre se manejaron solos, con producciones propias, independies, sin publicidad, marketing de los conciertos... nada. Solo anuncian la fecha y el lugar y los propios fans se encargan de difundir y organizarse para no faltar a la cita. ("La misa", como le dicen algunos...) Rara vez dan entrevistas y son muy reservados sobre su vida privada... Y así y todo son capaces de convocar a medio millón de personas a un recital, que se convierte en un verdadero evento musical.

It is quite difficult to understand the lyrics of El Indio for native Argentines in most of the lyrics because it has a lot of metaphors, so imagine translating the literal lyrics into English you can go be crazy to understand. also the verb amar (love) and amo (Owner) are written the same but it depends on the subject and predicate that precedes it, for example "Yo te amo (I love You)" "El es mi Amo (he is my owner)" owner is not used normally when speaking because it refers to the relationship between slave and owner or similar.

Este concierto en Tandil fue dentro del Hipódromo de esa ciudad te recomiendo busques el concierto del indio solari en Olavarría este lo hicieron a campo abierto en un campo de siembra en el cual prepararon un sector para 200.000 personas y menos mal que era un campo grande ya que fueron 500.000 personas ese día .saludos

This show si only from Patricio rey y sus redonditos de ricota singer. He doesnt promote this shows on tv radio ir papers. So he is like a living myth. He only plays once in years. Next show. Totally agree. You must have to be on his next concert !! I just wanted to add that he is one half of two master artists that l led ¨Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota¨. The other half is the main guitarrist Beillinson, similar to Mark Knopfler as you said. You are right about this song, speaks about authoritarianism refered to argentinian political history. This song that you heard now was written 40 years ago at the late ´70 and recorded at the earlies ´80. This band particularly started as a political protest band that used and played with the words hidding, in a clever way, from being exposed to authorities.

some details: "Con sus muecas rotas cromadas" translate as: With their broken chrome plated grimace (like when doing faces). The last dictatorship in Argentina went from march 1976 to december 1983. It is not sure that this lyrics refers to that. Solari (not Solaris, that´s a russian movie, ha ha) is always a little criptic , and extremely metaphoric in writing.

Probably the people there is 5 times the entire population of the city he choose to play. The band always plays in small citys and people from all around the country travel thousanf kilometers just to see them. Imagine there is no room for such amount of people, no hotels, not even a route or road prepared, not enough venues to get food, toilets, etc etc etc. its madness. just only imagine the traffic jam or even the day after the show. there are no buses enough. It´s not a one day adventure.
