I live in New Zealand. I first saw a flamenco dancer doing a show at my school when I was 8 years old.. I will never forget it.. it made a huge impact on me.. I wanted to be a flamenco dancer when I was grown up.. well I canot dance but the music caresses my soul.. beautiful !

Story time: I live in India, close to Rajasthan. 9 years back I bought an acoustic guitar but didn't know what to do. About 2 years in I found flamenco on KZbin, and I am in love with this genre ever since. Al Marconi was my one of the very first inspirations for learning flamenco, apart from legends like Paco De Lucia, Roy Clark, Yannick Lebosse, Marcos Kaiser, and many more. Literally today I got to know about Indian roots of flamenco, and I can't help myself but wonder if my genetic tree has Roma people, the very inventors of flamenco from ancient Rajasthan. A little bit about the place Rajasthan: It's mostly desert, and the region of Rajasthan & Gujarat has been the home for almost all the Indian spices not for centuries but millenium. I have always been intrigued by the desert lifestyle in western India as well as in the middle east, the Bedouin people. I can't stress enough how many deserty dreamy nights I spent. My body too can live with the dry and hot climate easily, my 4-year university was in Rajasthan. Although I am not a professional musician (I work in tech), my most delightful hobby is playing flamenco, Spanish and Mexican instrumentals on my acoustic guitar. I strongly believe I can be quite a good flamenco musician if I dedicate full practice to it, but honestly I don't want to leave the tech money too. If only there was a way to find out your lineage history!

Well done. The interplay between the music and the photos is beautiful. I will be sending this to some friends of mine. We dance Argentine tango. But, the elements in this piece, lends itself to Neo-tango as well. This was really well done. Very light but, it has an air of mystery as if, one is in Seville watching the women passing by along the streets. A man begins to play his guitar and everyone dances.
