As a renter and only in a small home space is not huge for a keezer setup and with limited options. i brought the series x 4 keg with 4 taps on the font, mind you i may not use all 4 taps but the ability to hold 4 kegs is the beauty of this fridge even though you can do it as a 1-4 tap system.. with the 4 keg series x you can fit a 50litre keg in for special occasion saving you changing kegs over once a 19l or 9 litre has finished which i think is more versitile then a keezer style trying to lift a 50litre keg up to the height of keezer then back down in to the keezer would not do well for back where the series x is perfect all though that all you will fit in it.. i think taps are a taste thing in which i like the stainless steal look and the question in my my mind is does the black nukataps pour any different to the standard nukatap in stainless, or the the flow control? not including the stout adapter for these just my thoughts and another great review David Heath

Great that you enjoyed the video and thank you for sharing your thoughts. Like you, I have limited space and find the series x to be a great way to squeeze more beer in. I currently have a series 4 and plan to add a series x right next to it. It will be a squeeze but having 7 taps will be enough I think :P

H David. Ive just taken receipt of the stealth tap. It doesnt appear to have a “spring back” like most taps when you pull it forward. Do you have the same experience with yours? Cheers Christian

This is not standard on these. You can buy an autoclose spring separately very a small cost though.

I would only use the springs fit for Nukatap. I showed these in my Kegerator set up guides released recently.

Yes, I really like these in black for sure, very cool. As for when they will come to the UK I think you are best asking your local homebrew store. They are available for order from the manufacturer now, so it depends on when orders are placed and shipping time really.

I think you will be fine with either. I recently got the flow control model and I am testing it but there are other ways to control flow also.

is the black just powder coated ? .. in your vid you can see some chrome coming through on the threads.. I guess scratch resistance is the #1 issue with this.

The method used is the same as you get with household faucets. So it is fairly resistant to scratching but avoid wire wool and impact with hard objects :)

I got these direct from the manufacturer, they are already out in AU and will be available all over very soon. I have really taken to the black version myself :)

If only I didn't buy some Perlick 630ss faucets back in April. I would much prefer this aesthetic. No use in changing now though, Maybe down the line when/if I get a bigger set up it will be the route I go.

David Heath Homebrew exactly. I am perfectly happy with the Perlicks, but you know how it is when something new comes out. I definitely am not in the market for new faucets but I definitely am envious of a black faucet. Eventually when I upsize to a keezer these will be at the top.

No but frankly the standard Nukatap is very good when it comes to its native flow.

@@DavidHeathHomebrew It works fine, just the same as the original taps by the same company. No difference in first pour - more foamy than subsequent pours. I was expecting less foam on first pour. Second pour onwards is perfect, just as it was for last taps.

They look good........But "characteristically", most coatings won't stay adhered to a stainless surface, ( to include chrome), because: It's stainless! Have to see how they hold up!

Do these nuclear taps promote alcoholism? Why must we buy one? What happens if we don't? Buy one, that is. Home brewers without alcohol dependency tend to use bottles. Four kegs of beer in a very expensive under-counter fridge is promoting a potentially serious problem for the consumer. Not just debt. Given the harm alcohol does, biologically, it's very, very irresponsible. The authorities need to tax home-brew ingredients more, I think. And they need to look at what you're promoting, Mr Heath.

I got the same one. they scratch really easy get the Chrome one.

Mine are still intact but yes they cannot take hard impacts or scratching without it showing.
