Yesterday, I had an awful War Thunder day - I had little SL left, and even those I've lost, playing German 6.7. Every match was pure pain with little to no kills, enemies constantly somewhere, where I didn't expect them, then I tried soviet 7.7 and 4.3 with KVs...nothing changed, all that considering that the day before I'd had outstanding matches.....I guess, some day is better to leave the game alone, I feel like WT is like Zone from Stalker - it decides iself, when you'd be successful or die constantly, being helpless against fate....

That feeling is partially because of the game mode and partially because of lack of map knowledge or mindless holding of W. Knowing when to stop on your first rollout is half of War Thunder, then you pick off the people who didn't know when to stop because you're set up and waiting.

@@flectz yes specially with 5.0 USA, in arcade the jumbo is 8k sl to repair :'), yes I play arcade more than rb, I feel it a bit better to grind since the matches are shorter and faster than in rb and there is no a constan and almost infinite CAS because planes are capped by points and you have only like 20 seconds to do something

Tbh I would prefer the KV-1 L-11 over the ZiS-5 variant. L-11 is good for its br as the gun can still do well and it faces lower tier tanks. I've gotten like 18 kills and 2 assists with the tank... to bad I forgot to activate my 200% sl booster

KV-1 ZiS5 is okay for its BR, move it lower and it will be broken. The only problem is the overly compressed 4.7-5.7 BR range. Like even 0.3 uptiers will grant you lolpen opponents.

I prefer the kv1E just because you don't face stupid panthers, tigers or jumbos. But the E has a bad cannon, so already in 4.7 you can do nothing in the front of the other tanks

This is a bit late to say since they removed most ge wagers, but they should make it so, without loot boxes, u can can get a LITTLE BIT of ge from challenges and battle trophies easier

May I ask what headset you use cause I see how you are able to locate enemy targets and we all know war thunders horrible sound does not help. PLEASE ANSWER PPPLLLEEEAASSEEE

Any decent headphones will do (I use Steelseries Arctis); it seems in each update Gaijin messes with the sound...a couple of weeks ago they messed with the plane sounds so they were annoyingly loud, but then they fixed it (somewhat). Turn down your own engine sounds in the settings, that really helps. Also, I try to stay away from friendly tanks so I can hear the enemy as they approach. If you are going to sit in a spot for a bit, turn off your engine ("I" key by default if using KB&M, not sure what the console/controller scrubs use to turn off engine); if you do this, you can hear your enemies but they can't hear you. I wish people would stop spamming "attack the D point" (or if they are Americans, spamming the .50 cals with the space bar) all the time, because it gets annoying and loud.

@@scotttill3847 Thanks for the advice I have 1 cheap set of headsets and one somewhere in the middle. I’ve had the engine idle off and I know how much of a strategic game this is sometimes they sneak right up on you. Spamming D point and machine gun idiots I stay clear from the point of the game PTFO when I play. Even though I’m a Console/controller scrub I still play to the best of my ability.

Yeah, the only problem is that it constantly fights 5.7 germany and it's straight up torture. Oh, and volumetric shells my ass, 3 shots to kill a fucking hellcat and 3 shots to kill a sherman in the side
