For what it's worth, I first heard you sing this on your twitch channel a little over 3 years ago when my son had just been born. He was being fussy and this song instantly calmed him down. My grandmother would sing this song to me and when I heard you sing it, I was instantly taken back some 35+ years instantly! I wrote , - that my little childs bevor a Long time played german Kantele, and we are singing together old songs from everywhere. In 1962 i was in Finnland, - Turku, Helsininki to Visit Friends… And at this time i love the finnish Language and try a little bit to speak. I am a Musician and i asked, where i can find the Score of this Loreley Song! Please excuse my Bad english.

My mom was raised by her Finnish grandparents and used to sing us a Finnish lullaby. It sounded like "Bowba, bowba, ginnis a minnis ay mowba." I apologize for butchering this. If anyone has any clue what lullaby this could have been, I'd appreciate it.

Since, from my childhood, I always felt, this song was about the death of a baby child: "I'll fill your lap with flowers, I'll cover your eyes with little linen towels". Just think of many other similar songs, like "Pieni tytön tylleröinen tietä pitkin kulki..."
