To explain why the low res texture pack lowered the FPS, minecraft is still in itself rendering it a 16 bits, it then uses the Xbit(s) image over the prerenderd 3D modle. Therefore the FPS wouldn't go up and its going down most likely because of the prosses of swapping images. The reason it goes down with higher bit texture packs is because wilse the blocks geometry is being rendered in 16 bit, a HD photo is still gonna take some horse power to render.

With Amd gpus (rx6000 mostly), you can actually reach 3000+ fps in the game bc they released an OpenGL update for the drivers last year, without sodium, it works pretty well with rx500 too

Sodium and most other modern performance enhancements work by adding checks to skip things that are expensive to render or lumping things like draw calls together, so they won't be as performant when rendering nothing at all but will be insanely better at playing the actual game

Optifine speeds up rendering, game logic and the light engine. Sodium's *renderer* is faster, but for those other two parts you should have Lithium and Starlight. You will definitely see better performance than Optifine with that combo!

As evidence by his breif showing of Ryzen Master, power is only at 115W for the entire processor during gaming. I suspect his cooler mounting might be a bit loose or he reused a very old unused tube of thermal paste, as such a thermal load spread over the AM4 IHS should otherwise be well within the capabilities of a 360mm AIO. I would expect temperatures closer to 65C for a noise-conscious fan curve here.

this is unironically true. there also exist lithium, krypton, indium (not a performance mod, exists solely for mod compatibility with sodium), hydrogen, and phosphor (starlight is better in this case.) There's also potassium for datapacks.

You can increase your fps by ANOTHER 200-500 by just going to Lunar Client and turning on lazy chunk loading and setting it to lowest, turning off shadows, and last but definitely not the least, Turn on Particle Changer mod and turn on "Hide Particles" for every particle. So you can get 6000 fps with a good pc

I loved seeing the creative ways you've come up with to actually go above and beyong for every last drop of performance and how you've incorporated the PC upgrade into the whole thing; truly done well!

That case has bad airflow. Prebuilts mostly do suck. I got the Corsair Airflow series with the Kraken 360. 6 120mm fans keep it loud but proud.

I'm running two rads, an 480mm rad on the front mount and an 360mm rad on the top on the same loop. Got an corsair xd5 water pump with the 480mm with 3 140mm fans cooling it (the noctuas) My Temps for my 3090 barely hit 47C at extensive native 4k gaming and stress tests l overclocking at 2100 Mhz. Depending on the titles, I can run games at 2k from 200-300, 4k at 60Hz average butter smooth with no fps dips almost any game(except cyberpunk hitting dips of 120fps ish) My 5950 x overclocked to 4.2 Ghz all 16 cores, rarely hits 60C max 64Gb of ram 3600 c18 vengeance rgb 2x 980 pro 2tb m.2 1x 970 evo plus 2tb (Boot drive) 1200W PSU Platinum

I have a 240mm rad on a 12900k (while overclocked) in a not to great airflow case and the temps are fine and its not crashing, his should not be crashing. Its most likely a problem either with the cpu IHS or the AIO itself
