I've got this about a year ago (early "22) and I love it! I thought that the speakers will bother me but I end up loving them If you add the 2nd SanDisk slot, improve FX, add a battery and an internal SSD 1TB, then I think will be perfect. Got a nice NYE with this unit! 🖤

As a beginner dj I like this! It kind of takes away the ddj asthetic look to make room for the speakers, but then again im just a bedroom dj having fun with the deck I have. I'd buy this and have a little fun with it :)

It actually does (Serato, Virtual DJ) but that is not the purpose of it, and you'd have to buy the software separately.

It works with Serato but only if you have it plugged in and used in “computer mode” - essentially turns it into an everyday Numark controller albeit with fewer buttons, self powered capabilities, and little built in speakers.

I think these speakers were meant to be used as monitors for mixing possibly. For simple gigs such as weddings I think this is perfect. Still need a mixer for microphone use as numark chose to use a toy-ish microphone output. Excellent review as usual. One love 👍🏾

I feel like they should have put the speakers at the top like that other numark controller and gave us a slightly longer tempo fader. I don’t mind the second bank thing as it’s the same on the prime go and I rarely use more than four cue points anyway.

This controller is god's gift for techno. Deserves to be a cult classic. Engine OS is great and having the speakers makes it very useful to have around. Impossible to beat match manually unless you switch pitch control to +4. I suspect nobody will learn to beat match on it.

awesome! The only thing I don't like is that the built in speakers take so much space. This leads to a tiny tempo slider. I cannot imagine that being fun to use. This could have been solved easily by making the speaker a tiny bit smaller. The sound of that is probably bad anyway. I would actually buy a "pro" version of this without the speakers and better buttons (those in the video look the same as on a numark mixtrack i have used -> those are awful). Overall I think this thing is pretty much the a better version of the prime go with proper size jogwheels. Good job numark!

We agree that the speakers will divide people, but we can also see units being released without the speakers if this one is a success. After all, you can get the Mixtrack with and without speakers...

Numark has the streaming technology the Mixstream Pro for beginners. Denon has the Prime 4 with streaming services connection for pros (but with smaller dj platters). Do you think Pioneer will clap back at Dennon with streaming technology and full size dj platters... and when do you think that will happen?

This has come at the perfect time. Have had Numark HDMix for years and I like the all in one (though the HDMix is a behemoth, especially in its flight case). Very good video, im doubting with numark pro go and SC live 2, i wanna a full portable stuff, and add a external battery to the SC live 2, but im wondering if Its worth the price diference between numark go and SC live 2, because only a lot of more fx, little bit better sound at own speakers, and little bit better material quality construction between this two? And pro go IS full portable but maybe IS a toy. Because Both are plastic right? So im in this doubt, i Will apreciate a full comparision, because numark is the lowest line of inmusic but this sc live 2 i dont know if IS worth It at all. Im talking by second hand buy. It is best to build playlists first on your laptop, then export them, because while you can build them on the unit, you can't then import then back to your laptop, so they're never "permanently remembered"

If you can name three things you'll get with the Mixstream that you don't currently have with the DDJ-400 it's worth it, if you can't then don't upgrade. Most of the time the answer is your current gear is fine.

Thanks for the reply, Ben. At the time I asked, the unit was standalone with no hdmi output to connect a monitor. Months later, the firmware was updated to allow the unit to be connected to a computer and be used as a controller in Virtual DJ. Too late, I returned the unit by then.
