I've been waiting for you to take apart a Henry since day 1 and I'm glad you did! I wish you could experience a henry made before 2014, those are better quality Henrys Here in the UK since the EU regs Numatic's quality has sadly dropped, motors burn out quick, the plastic feels cheaper and the hoses come apart etc. Theres a rumour that the ex manager of Vax works at Numatic now apparently hence the big changes which probably explains a lot

I bought a Miele C1 Classic Powerline around 2 weeks ago, and I was appalled by the lack (and the quality and size) of the toy-like attachments... Still, I got it on sale for 400 CAD, and it has 1200w, plus 'made in Germany', but I can't use ANY of my existing EXTRA attachments I kept from my ancient Electrolux, which I sold - because it's huge, and having now a home with laminate flooring and just a few area rugs. So, this video is an epiphany, because who knew that the same companies manufacture the parts of Henry AND Miele! Going to shell out the additional $$$, and get the Henry 160 with the turbo brush. TOMORROW. I can't wrap my head around it, LOL. **happydance** . Thanks for this video, awesome as always

I’m in love with my Henry cordless, though it is underpowered for my needs. I’m looking to get another one, but I’m undecided between another 160 or a 200. I think regardless I’ll go with a Hetty this time.
@wichtelchen2 жыл бұрын
Both are equally good. The only real difference between 200 and 160 is the capacity of the red part where the bag is. The 200 takes up to 9L per bag but may be bulky for some needs. The 160 takes only 6L, which is still impressive for domestic use, but the device is smaller and more compact. I would stick with 200 unless your apartment is very small or your storage is limited. Henry vs Hetty is a choice of your personal taste. From a technical point of view, both machines are the exact same and are available in both sizes.

Were the Numatic character vacuums inspired by Thomas the Tank Engine? I worked as a hotel housekeeper once. We used a Henry. He had a tendency to go on his side and upside down. People joked about Henry being tipsy. I always thought they might as well make one called Tipsy that's a ball with castors all over it so there's no right way up. I occasionally used the Numatic Rucksack at my current job (mall cleaner). That's the battery backpack. And I've used the Makita equivalent. Now they have the Australian PacVac 700 Battery for that stuff. (I live in NZ). The Rucksack was real nice to use, but weak. Unless updated from original spec, it's outclassed (it's worse than battery Henry). It made me think of the B52s Love Shack, but instead saying Rucksack. "Rucksack, baby Rucksack..."

Performance Reviews nice! Thank you
@wichtelchen2 жыл бұрын
It should be totally fine. Killing the motor by using one is very unlikely. There are Henrys with built-in speed control. These have another switch instead of the power indicator lamp. The obvious reason the standard Henry doesn't come with one is the same as why it comes with a hand-cranked cord wind-up: Simplicity for reliability. Speed control circuit boards and spring-loaded cord wind-ups are the parts of a vacuum that usually fail first.

The problem with Henry is the price in North America. It's about the same as a good Miele but totally inferior. Plus the bags are hard to find compared to a Miele which many local retailers stock. If it was half the price (as I think it is in England) then I could see it being a viable option but at the price it is now no one but collectors can realistically justify buying it over a Miele.
@PerformanceReviews2 жыл бұрын
There are lots of reasons you would buy this over a Miele . The machine is designed to last twice as long. The motor that Henry uses is designed for 2000 working hours The motor Miele uses is designed to 1000 working hours. The cord is longer then Even a Miele C3 The attachments are standard inch and a quarter fitting which means unlimited possibilities in terms of what you can throw on the end of there. Lastly I'd say your statement about the bags is largely untrue. They can be commonly found on Amazon there's usually at least 10 genuine listings. Local vacuum shops can also buy them wholesale through various distributors.
@insertgoodname48092 жыл бұрын
@@PerformanceReviews -Lasting 2000-hrs vs 1000 is really not a concern for an average home user. -The cord may infact be longer but the fact that the vacuum is prone to tipping over almost defeats any advantage in real use. -The inch&1/2 fitting are nice but the Miele wands and attachments fit together so satisfyingly and are so well thought through that to the average person Henry is going to seem like a downgrade. -Being sold on Amazon is the antithesis to "being readily available". That's the whole situation with Amazon. You can buy almost anything there. If you live outside of a big city finding a dedicated vacuum store that is sill in business is unlikely or at least a dedicated trip and a hassle. Even if you do have one chances are they will not carry Henry Bags. A local one near me didn't even have Miele HEPA filters in stock. I can get Miele bags at 3 local chain stores. BedBathandBeyond, CanadianTire and TheBay. I like the Henry and I would buy one. But as a collector. I can not justify telling my relatives to buy one over a Miele with *their* money. That's my real point.
@huitrecouture2 жыл бұрын
@@insertgoodname4809 Yeah we got your point. Rant about Amazon even though you ADMIT he was correct - LOL you're not even in AMERICA. Then person preference and dismissing FACTS. WTF most people don't care about 1000 hours versus 2000? Who says? Besides you.

Miele for sure, any other is a compromise in my opinion. You’d definitely notice better quality with the Miele, better suction performance and excellent filtration tested for the equivalent of 20 years usage. The cords have been yanked hundreds of times, it has gone through hundreds of crash tests and has been dropped with minimal damage. Also it’s lightweight and makes vacuuming less of a chore.
