Numb One // KingNUMB (Part 3) // Tim Ross

Pastor Tim Ross walks us through the story of the prodigal son. Sometimes being numb to your current reality can cause you to make decisions that are outside of God’s will. While the youngest son was outside of his father’s presence, he squandered his money and found himself working amongst pigs. Sin always takes you farther than you planned. In the midst of being in the pig stye, the youngest son came to his senses. In repentance, he ran back to his father’s house and was greeted with a party only to be met by a brother who was numb himself. What this message teaches us is that there can be 2 extremes of being numb - for some of us, we have sinned and can come back to our senses, for others we have to be careful to not allow our outward “perfection” to make us numb to our inward imperfections.

My sermon notes for "kingnumb// the numb one" week 2: 1.) True repentance is when you don't make it about anyone else but yourself. When you truly repent you don't make excuses and take full responsibility. 2.) God does go after those who are lost, but he does not go after those who left. Submit yourself to God and his ways. 3.) Walk back towards your heavenly father 4.) Transformation church has become my home church even though I am in Miami Florida. I have tried several churches in the area and I feel the transforming power and the word of God more sitting on my back porch listening to these pastors by myself. I still have a long way to go in my healing and Transformation but as soon as I became un numb and repentant and God saw my heart, I started feeling better than winning the lottery. The more I seek God and His ways the more He elevates me for my testimony to be more powerful in helping others. @@jakeaustincox I used to be a “holier than thou” critical religious Christian who looked down on anyone who called themselves godly but didn’t “appear to be” such because of how they talked, dressed, etc… then the Holy Spirit convicted me of this behavior and revealed that I was being religious not Christ-like. So when I say religious people I’m coming from a place of conviction that I’ve been delivered from myself. They’re not bad just critical and walking in darkness. They don’t embrace sinners or Christians that don’t fit their ideals of Christianity, they push them further away and judge them. 1 Corinthians 13.
