Not enough people say it but this isn't a good nobu ive watch countless times his fights against number 1 heros but still cant understand why he plays like this. He is just random he always challenges or dodge after an exchanges ,he hidden stances randomly sometimes when there is nothing going on, he even tries to challenge with guardbreaks. There is just wrong to much wrong with his play style for me to list here, he has a lot of bad habits.

I'm a Nobu main and I'm was just cringing hard when that Nobu let all those heavies hit. While unfortunate, Nobu's main source of damage is bleeds, which means throwing a lot of lights. That's just how she is. The only heavy that counts is the undodgable one, and maybe the side winder once in a while when being defensive. That being said, the best way to access your bleed is through hidden stance and viper's retreat. She's like a snake so get into HS as much as you can in offense so that they don't see where the attack is coming from. HS is 33/33/33 mix-up. They have to guess either a light, heavy or kick is coming. And the good thing is you can throw one of those 3 attacks and go right back into HS and reset that mix-up all over again until you're outta stamina. And once you have bleed on your opponent, this mix-up has a damage buff to it, and you now have access to one of the most damaging heavies in the game, only second to, but a bit shy of Jorm's hammer smash damage. Once you understand how to abuse this, Nobu jumps to like A tier. Lights from HS catch dodges mid animation. Then throw in heavily delayable attacks with a fast viper's retreat for more bleed (therefore damage buff) and s on the light side winder and you got yourself a damage powerhouse. But it needs patience or you will get hit

Another good advice, if an enemy makes a very long attack like for example the centurion punch punishing dodges, if you do a dodge + attack while you recover you can re-dodge + attack, thus dodging the long blows.

The nobu guy either has bad reflexes or the match had high latency cose he was way too reliant on reads and early dodges almost like he couldn't trust himself with staying still and blocking/parrying a light.

Nobu defensive capabilities became a problem after her buff, a good defensive Nobu player is now very hard to deal with, you can't even punish her on reaction after dodging her kick anymore, she can delay the shit out of her after kick side light and It have tons of i-frames but If you wait to see If she will throw you can't GB anymore, i've been fighting some Nobu gods lately, the 19 dmg heavy parry + damage buff is respectable, specially now you can't GB spam, she will cheap you down.

For those wondering Warmonger has 2 playstyles Rushdown and Response. RD Warmonger is meant to lose stam and get it back through perks whilst Response is about feeling out and playing off defense. A good offensive Warmonger will exhaust stamina repeatedly.

@@9lo740 the ideal 3 warmonger perks are Survival Instinct, Fresh Focus, and HH in Dominion and swap HH out if you’re in a dueling game mode for the extra stamina perk. To explain Warmonger is either an all out attacker or all out defender. A response WM uses parries and counters to bleed out the enemy. This is done typically by dodging into claw attack or perfect parrying a heavy and using the counter to run the enemy into a wall for extra bleed.
