White paint is more opaque so that it covers better. Some of the other colors are more translucent so that one can see a bit of the grain of the piece, etc. Paint companies make it that way.
@mztgood2 жыл бұрын
As a paint maker, be careful about adding so much water. You'll break down the molecular chain, causing the paint to fail over time. I know its a demonstration. Oh. Paint viscosity depends in performance. More fillers are used for better coverage and the thinner ones are tinted to a medium. House paint (latex) is very different than the oil based paint Pollock used. Still...thank you for experimenting! And great work!!!

So it depends on the quality of the paint. Some do, some don’t. The brand I use doesn’t but I have had brands that did. Cheaper ones like Walmart’s brand and Clark and Kensington did.

You're mixing oil paint and water-based paint on your background? That's not a good idea, to be honest. Oil and water-based paints don't like to mix with each other. They will look okay for a while, but they'll separate at some point. I've been painting for almost 50 years and I've made my share of mistakes over that time. So try staying with one medium oil or water-based for each painting to be on the safe side from now on. Hope it helps :-)
