Thanks for featuring Number_i. I know you guys are surprised by the title of "GOAT" even though this is debut song for them . But they have a background. Number_i was formed after the departure of a member who had been active in the popular Japanese group until last May. Incidentally, the group they left was the biggest selling group in the Japanese music market last year. The last single they released during their tenure was the highest selling single of the last year. They have long been outspoken about their desire to be a group that can perform both domestically and internationally, but their agency's policy has not been in line with that. (Their agency denies this, but it is clear that they were never create a system that would allow them to connect overseas.) Because they are extremely popular, when they announced their departure, there was a huge uproar among fans, with all kinds of speculation. This song is the first work in which they have left their accumulated career and started anew. They have put everything they have into this song, and it is the GOAT. I feel that this is both a fanfare by Number_i to break us out of Japan's closed entertainment culture and take us into a new era, as well as an answer song to our former fans. Therefore, I feel the homage to Back to the Future is also deeply meaningful. That said, it is obvious to all that their creative performances are top-notch, even without such difficult considerations ;)

Sho, Kishi annd Jin are all very famous in Japan they belonged to a five-boys J-pop group (King and Prince) for 5 years who made the best million seller single and album in 2023. We all loved them but they have splitted out in May 2023, and Sho, Kishi and Jin re- grouped in October 2023 (at a management company newly established in Mar 2023) to rebuild their career aiming for global and this song is just a beginning. Hey! Thank you for posting a reaction video on Number_i’s GOAT! I think they intended this title to mean not that they are the GOAT, but they are AT the greatest of all times of THEIR history. Sho, Jin & Yuta used to belong to a very very popular boy group, but left it last year and “redebuted” as a trio on this New Year’s Day.
