The homeless, the lonely older people and the friendless are always forgotten at Christmas, while our uninvited 'guests' live the life of Reilly nice and warm, well fed and cared for in nice hotels. It makes me sick!
@pallascat174310 ай бұрын
Homeless British people also get put in hotels, HMOs, or supported living spaces. The only thing is that these places aren't exactly the nicest or safest places to be, so many choose a tent or a doorway instead.

I love the Tory U.K. so much. More homeless so I feel better. I think we need to ban tents. They should be exposed to the elements. Get sick and need the NHS. I’d remove pavements so only cars allowed. We need to LEAVE pavements. Those pavements are taking our jobs!

This is what happens when economic migrants get priority treatment from the governments over locals, I am not saying that some of the homeless are not on the streets by their own fault, but often they have contributed to the system before they ended on the streets, while they were still working and paying taxes, while incoming wawes of IL-LEGALS behave like someone owns them favors overhere... and they are entitled to everything, that their own countries failed to provide them, now we supose to provide them ... We have brought this upon ourselves by voting traitors each and every elections

It can be called something of a 'social bankruptcy' when welfare societies have homeless people at all. Except for those who choose homelessness entirely voluntarily.

Put up housing benefits and mak it law that all landlords will accept housing benefits for rent or to top up what the poorer members of society can afford. The rich get richer in the Uk and the poor get poorer and are an embarrassment to the Government.

That's correct. The inability to afford the basic cost of living can be a factor in homelessness, as the supply of social housing is limited and rents continue to rise faster than wages.

Not so much cost of living as addiction sadly
@ProfoundFamiliarity10 ай бұрын
That's not quite correct. While addiction is a major factor, there are a number of reasons why individuals may be homelessness including rent and eviction, physical and mental health, discrimination and family crises.
@mickylove7610 ай бұрын
Well it’s obviously a lifestyle choice(!)
@Etheral10110 ай бұрын
Still can afford tattoos and cigerettes though.
@ProfoundFamiliarity10 ай бұрын
That's correct. Some homeless people may still be able to find or obtain enough funds to buy cigarettes or alcohol although this may come at the cost of nutrition. While tattoos are harder to afford, it may still be possible for a homeless person to purchase one as being homeless doesn't necessarily mean having no funds or income. Tattoos are also permanent, so they may have been bought earlier in life, if circumstances permitted.
