Not the first time I read someone stating English is one of the hardest languages, while for me, as a fellow French speaker, I agree with Doom, English is one of the easiest foreing languages I've learned (along with Latin languages like Spanish and Portuguese). Some non latin languages are far more difficult to me, either because of a more complex grammar, or a more complex pronunciation, or hard to remember writings, or all of the three at the same time which is mind blowing.

Its interesting how Asian languages have counter words. In Latin languages, numbers are not modified based on what is being counted. But for whatever reason, Asian languages do. And for them it works, idk how bc it seems like an extra set of things to memorize from an English speaking perspective, but it hasn't stopped being used since

Why is it called Sino-Korean and what do they call it in Korean? I've always wondered this but I'm not sure where to find the answer because I always see it mentioned in English as Sino 🥲 (mostly confused because the pronunciation doesn't match how it's written if it was directly translating Hangul)

Sino numbers are easier for me to remember cause they sound similar to numbers in Cantonese 😆
