Might work well with a messy 'haymow shuffle' at the oft. Number cards might have blank backs. Just the numbers of 'one colour' might have backs subtly marked with a top right corner pencil dot. Thus magician can keep track of cyclical colour distribution if he cuts stack after false haymow shuffle until a pencil marked card becomes the top card of stack. Then the magician 'ordered' deal out. As you say it could be repeated with a different outcome.

Me again!!! With this mechanic in mind, we can use any 5 groups of 5 numbers, as long as they have different totals. One suggestion, is to use this set: 1-2-3-4-5 (total 15) 2-3-4-5-6 (total 20) 3-4-5-6-7 (total 25) 4-5-6-7-8 (total 30) 5-6-7-8-9 (total 35) This way, it´s easy to identify what the players have... just look at the lowest card of each one. Once formed the 5 numbers, if the players are in the order 2-5-1-3-4, all we have to do is to add 111,110 to (five times 25,134 = 125.670), which totals 236,780. And to a better effect, since the cards have no marks, the players can place them FACE DOWN!!!!! Only at the final, they are turned to reveal the 5 numbers that will be added up!!!!

I can see a much smarter why to calculate your total of 236,780: Player one: 2-3-4-5-6 has the total 20. first ciffer is 2 Player two: 5-6-7-8-9 has the total 35 next ciffer is 0+3 => 23 Player three 1-2-3-4-5 has the total 15 next ciffer is 5+1 => 236 Player four 3-4-5-6-7 has the total 25 next ciffer is 5+2 => 2367 Now we know that the last player has total 30 so the last to numbers is 50+30 => 236,780

Btw, you don´t even need to mark the cards. Just remember the groups (all of them have 1, 3 and 4): 1-2-3-4-5 (15), 1-2-3-4-6 (16), 1-2-3-4-7 (17), 1-2-3-4-8 (18), 1-3-4-5-6 (19)..

great trick, thank you. I have made my cards and put ESP symbols on the back instead of coloured dots. This way I can make the excuse that they double up as ESP cards if anybody happens to see them, whereas coloured dots just look like a code (imho).,

Since I didn´t find the video with the trick, I stopped this video before the solution, ´cause I like to try to figure out by myself this kind of puzzles (guessing), mostly when involving math. And I would like to hear from you if I´m being innapropriate, rude, or something like that... (english is not my first idiom...) making these kind of comments. At first I realized that the numbers in one pile will fall all of them in the same column. Since the groups of 5 numbers total 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, all we have to do is to keep track of the sequence of players. I mean, if the first has the pile with total 16, the second with the total 19, the third with the total 17, the fourth with the total 15, and the fifth with the total 18, all I have to do is add 166,665 to this number: 14203. This number is obtained subtracting 15 from each pile total, in order. If the order were: first player, total 18; second player, total 16, third player total 19, fourth player, total 17 and fifth player, total 15, I add 31420 to 166,665. What is 166,665? It´s 150.000 + 15.000 + 1.500 + 150 + 15 And, at most, 120 different outcomes (permutation of five numbers 0-1-2-3-4).
