One rule that I would change (not really a rule more just a mentality/ approach) is, all the new rules the NBA implements need to be enforced and enforced fairly once they are implemented. We have seen far too many new rule changes that are enforced for 2 months at the beginning of the season, then go away after either the new year or all star break. A number of these rules actually improve the on court basketball product, like the flopping techs and the no jumping into a defender to draw shooting fouls (The transition take foul is a good example of this done well; likely because its a less subjective call (i.e. its either clear path and the defender is behind them or its an illegal play on the ball). I also think the refs need to be held more accountable and some monetary incentives (fines) or a big game limit (I presume refs get paid more in the playoffs, play-in, in season tournament & Christmas games so removing these opportunities for poor officiating seems fair. I think this should also be judged based on a season by season basis hence seniority shouldn't play a factor (sorry Tony Brothers & Scott Foster) only the quality of your officiating should matter) should be placed on refs that do a poor job (wrong calls (scaled based on importance e.g. Tatum fouling Lebron on that game winner attempt would be a highly ranked mistake), ego techs & non balanced officiating). I think a fair way to enforce that would be for the NBA to hire a special officiating team to review games that is completely separate to the on court officials (hopefully this would make the process less bias in either direction as no one on this team would be affected by the decisions they make). I also think this team should be split up even more into a live review and post game review to account for some of the human elements of officiating; because catching everything live is an almost impossible task (a similarity report, along with some basic statistical analysis could be done to assign officiating scores that determine who gets the most big games).

Couldn't agree more with Mike and D Mills about Kawhi. I'm sick of giving Kawhi the benefit of the doubt. You have to stay on the court. He wasn't better than KAT or Paulo last year. Stop giving him praise just based on his name. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
@bbcpfghsАй бұрын
You don’t have to give Kawhi any benefit of the doubt when comparing him to Paulo and KAT. He is pretty easily better than them last year. His health will always be an issue so I could understand taking other guys over him for that reason. But, if you’re just strictly judging what they did on the court last season then it’s not even close

What I would change: 1. Make the regular season the actual "championship." Whichever team finishes with the best point differential at the end of 82 games wins the championship (with a tie breaker determined by wins). 2. Create a post season tournament - begin with every team in a fantasy draft - draft order determined by season seeding - then all 30 fantasy teams play a bracket style playoff until a post season championship is awarded...
@charlesbaker3950Ай бұрын
...this way all the top superstars and all the top role players get featured in a playoff style atmosphere... on teams that are designed (with no money restrictions) in a way that allows teams to put optimal players around the right stars. and it allows every fan base to get a chance to root for different superstars (every year)...

I’m sorry but I see no argument for Tatum over Lebron. The only thing that Tatum is substantially better than Lebron at is free throws. Tatum having as much help as he does matters when he’s still shooting less than Lebron in FG % and from 3 pt % . He’s not the same playmaker as Lebron. This is in the regular season and playoffs mind you. I’d also rather have Lebron in the clutch. Lebron is better as an inside scorer. Lebron is also more consistent. What am I missing? Where is the argument for Tatum?

@@tonyschimmoellerTatum is a better defender, but also is on a team surrounded by all defensive talent, so it’d be hard to gauge that his defense is so substantially better than Lebrons that it merits him being better when Lebron is better at everything on the other side of the ball other than free throws.
