Spurs fan here, and Id say Mike is more or less right. From 2012-2015 or so, Kawhi was not our best offensive player. I'd say it was Parker, he was the one always initiating every play. Most of our offense revolved around Parker getting both feet in the paint, and kicking it out. From there the ball movement was insane, Kawhi was just a part of that machine. It wasn't until 15-17 that we saw Kawhi really lean into the iso and PnR (with Aldridge).

evan mobley might be the best player on the cavs rn without taking the most shots. he’s gonna finish top 2 in dpoy and he’s doing everything on offence. mitchell and garland are super elite offensively so a lot will have one of them as the best, but mobleys unselfishness and and versatility is a good blueprint for what it could look like to be the best player on a great team without being the go to option on offence. he’s one of the main hubs on offence, a great slasher/finsher/playmaker who is simultaneously one of the most complete defenders on earth. maybe the most complete.
