UPDATE: The deck in the video is indeed 51 cards! In a hurry to get the deck filmed Basil notified me that the Ruin Mode/DeathX is supposed to be an "either/or" based on what your meta looks like. Please keep this in mind if you plan on building the deck!

I dont have DeathX nor Ruin mode so I added 2 copies of Venusmon and changed the number of some rookies and champions. Also I didn´t realize about the Azulongmon tech. Thanks for the video.

looks like those monzaemons hit that 18-20 range for like a day and settled back down to 10-14 which is where they were after they announced this support

I’ve built mine quite differently the big one is I’m running a red base with promo Guilmon to fix the issue of emptying the hand to quickly. I won’t swear by it to hard but I didn’t enjoy black base when I played it though that was before but-15

Junkmon ? For another rookie option… maybe… on deletion gain one 💁🏻‍♂️ maybe a clutch move to gain a needed memory.

I think black base is a trap. It seems good on paper, but I found myself running out of cards in hand way too quickly if my stuff gets removed. Instead, try BT15 DemiMera (and 1 of the BT3 one) alongside your Ukko, ST Gabu, and the New BT15 Candlemon, and see the draw power and the ability to get your PlatinumNumes in trash. You can then afford to bump up your 5s if you want to. BT15 Candlemon is actually a really devious card too, if I had a podcast, it would be my card of the week. ;) I also really value the BT14 Nume + Satsuki to spit out another rush body off of Nume X's inherit. Anyway, nice profile, you've given me some ideas, try purple base and see what you think.

Purple base is PROBABLY really good. I think playing the black base gives you most flexibility with the option to evolve more consistently to draw. We found that draw power and getting trash set up isn't difficult enough to warrant the purple base.

I tried a version of the purple base too! Very similar outside of a cpl of scenarios. The draw engine is definitely much stronger than the black base with you being able to go draw two on the eggs at the awkward cost of pitching a level five or higher. Sometimes it felt pretty bad to not have certain level 5s or rather pitching them (mostly Monzae X) but you did draw enough that it didnt feel too too bad. Not being able to evolve on the rookies was a sore spot for me personally, the synergy with protoform feels so good to use on the rookies w/ nume x . And the last thing about purple base is that you didn't have access to the flood gates, or rather, you wanted your flood gates to die in order to trigger Demi-meramon on deletion while the black eggs just sit and trigger egg skill as long as your opponent didn't deal with it. I'll get basil to try it too!

I did black base, but I play 16 Numemons. May have to try Purple base soon.

IMO until we get the other Ukkomon stay in black. And I wouldn't run Dorumon unless you're running Shin Monzaemon. 14 rookies is about right, and I wouldn't skip out on at least two or three Satsuki and her Numemon.

Ukkamon won’t be an issue soon. The games getting too quick as it is and I don’t think it’s that much of an issue. I can only see them hitting it if lvl 3s they want to be played aren’t. Because this is a generic lvl 3 for any deck.

hm. I wonder about the choice to exclude BT14 Numemon and Satsuki. Azulongmon ACE is a neat tech tho.

We found that the added inheritables were superfluous. Also, we want to hard play our numes, so losing two cards in the hand can be a death sentence.

@@basilhawley658 thats fair. in my case, i dont have the lv7s in this list, and i only have 2 Ukkomon, so i might just improvise a little bit with some of em. great list tho!

What's the take on no venusmons?

I think that Venusmon is also a fine addition as well. You can definitly take the deck into a more control orientated style. My biggest issue with sitting on that as the top end is you lose the floating effects from Nume X / plantiumnume if you don't have x-antibody in sources/losing out of sec+1 for not being a monzaemon. The benefits though is that ruinmode is much more annoying since you have a turn of immunity > 2 turns of ruin mode. Feel free to try out it and let us know how it feels!
