Numerical Analysis 12.2.4 Upper Hessenberg Form

It helps the QR algorithm if we start with something closer to the Schur form we are trying to transform into. This video discusses that form, and how we can use Householder reflectors to find a matrix in upper Hessenberg form that is similar to our original matrix.

Thank you so much! All I could find were some links that kept making ambiguous, difficult to understand statements (e.g. and just do that again but for the second column. Can't find the article, but trust me, that leaves a lot to interpretation), and one source where all the variables were displayed as broken image links, making it impossible to read.
