How do we know when simpson’s rule will give us the actual value of the integral? Is it just if it is another quadratic?

in the first example would the sum of the 1'st even height not be included all i can see it the root 37 being included. thanks

The formula says that you take the first height separately then do 2 times the middle even heights. There was only one middle even height.
