Sir if you not converted inches to cm , then why did you convert armstrong into cm..??

In the formula for resolving power, N is total number of lines on grating.. it is not number of lines per cm.. so no need to convert inches to cm.. for wavelength it is our choice to convert or not..

Sir why did we use 5890×10^-8 ??? and not the other one in the numerator???

RP = λ/dλ where λ is lower wavelength. .check the derivation of Resolving power. We took two wavelengths λ and λ+dλ

Sir , I think lambda = average of two wavelengths ??

No.. if you see derivation, we used two wavelengths.. lambda and lambda + d lambda.. So in formula it is lambda only.. not average
