A shaft carries five masses A, B, C, D and E which revolve at the same radius in planes which are equidistant from one another. The magnitude of the masses in planes A, C and D are 50 kg, 40 kg and 80 kg respectively. The angle between A and C is 90° and that between C and D is 135°. Determine the magnitude of the masses in planes B and E and their positions to put the shaft in complete rotating balance. Please solve this question for me

@EducationLessons
@EducationLessons 3 жыл бұрын
Yea.. with smaller scale you will not get a clear figure. Angle measurements will also be difficult. Go for some higher scales as per highest value of the quantity, to get better visualisation of your figure. Also, better figure makes checking of supervisor easy, hence giving more marks. Tip - Better the presentation of your work, more will be marks. Thanks, Team EL

@EducationLessons

If the question is related to static balancing, then you can find the angles from force polygon and if the question is of dynamic balancing then you can find angles from force polygon or couple polygon (or sometimes both... depending on the Numerical)

Sir wo arc horizontal couple line ke niche bhi to draw kar sakte hai.......to wo kaise pata chalega k niche draw krna hai ya upar
@EducationLessons
@EducationLessons 5 жыл бұрын
Good question Roshan Patil; You can also draw the arc below the horizontal couple, and this is absolutely correct. If you will draw the arc below the horizontal couple then you will get different space diagram, couple polygon as well as different force polygon. You will get all these diagrams like a mirror image.(means Jo mass upar hai wo niche aa jayega and Jo mass niche hai wo upar jayega) So finally angles will also get changed. You will get ∆C=290° and ∆D=145° when measured anticlockwise from mass B. And this ans is also correct.

@EducationLessons
@EducationLessons 5 жыл бұрын
Did you mean protractor? If you want to draw using protractor, then yes you can directly draw the force at given angles by measuring it using protractor. But we suggest you to use space diagram to draw the Force using a roller scale, it will be easy and it will take less time in examination also. Hope your Doubt is cleared. @EducationLessons
@EducationLessons 5 жыл бұрын
Yes it is possible to solve using analytical method, but We suggest you to prefer graphical method for these types of sums as it reduces the calculation work and it is short compared to analytical method. There can be some mistakes in calculation on calculator because of longer equations... So comparatively you will get correct answer in short time by doing graphical method only.

Question me kaisa patha karna ho static balance me hai aur dynamic balance me hai
@EducationLessons
@EducationLessons 5 жыл бұрын
If question is of same plane then it is of static balancing. And if question is of different plane, then it is of dynamic balancing. Now, how to identify that question is of same plane or different plane??....So for that, if distance between the planes are given then it's question of different plane, and if not given then it will of same plane

@@subehappy5342 Don't wry. We have the theory based on Analytical method. Just go through this theory and you have to do exact method as shown in this theory. Analytical method theory: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJWwg2duoqhpZ9U Mostly, from the balancing portion, they will not ask too much complicated questions in GATE. Hope this helps you 👍
