Sir I dont know how to express my thanks to u. I have failed this paper and I have been writing supply exams for last 4 years. I couldn't understand any word from this subject due to the complexity of the numericals and theories. But after watching u r video luctures, I can understand each and every portions of this subject easily and very quickly. The only despairI have that ,why didnt u do this before 4 years ,😃

Sir. I have a doubt In case of neutral point grounded through NER , the zero sequence network is drawn taking ground as reference... However , the positive and negative sequence networks are drawn wrt to neutral as reference... So when we draw a network diagram connecting these three sequence networks ... How do we fix that... Like in star solidly grounded...N and G are at same potential ...so we can just combine these easily.. But in NER grounded...N & G are at different potentials when zero sequence current flows...

For calculating symmetrical fault, we can use symmetrical component by using the pos. sequence network, or Z bus method. Can we use Z bus matrix to calculate LG,LL fault?

Dear sir I have one question regarding pre fault voltage .Does magnitude of prefault voltage always equal to one in case of symmetrical fault?
@DrAfrozAlam2 жыл бұрын
Yes, if system was unloaded at the time of fault.
@arundhatipatil42644 жыл бұрын
Sir how did we came to know that it is symmetrical fault
@DrAfrozAlam4 жыл бұрын
This has already been explained in the following video lecture: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3OngGOQnM6hqJo
@roshanchandel79294 жыл бұрын
Why don't we consider the neutral impedance while calculating the fault current in case of symmetrical fault? The return path available for the fault current has to pass through the neutral impedance as well.
@DrAfrozAlam4 жыл бұрын
To understand this, watch the following lecture (particularly at time 19:38) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJaoZZSnl62emLM

In symmetrical faults, negative and zero sequence components of fault current are absent. i.e. only positive sequence component of fault current exists which does not require path through neutral. Note: Only zero sequence component of current requires its path through the neutral. Recall, neutral current In = 3*Io

Sir where did u discuss about 3phase fault current...why only positive impedence is considered...
@DrAfrozAlam5 жыл бұрын
For 3-phase fault current, you may watch following video lecture: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3OngGOQnM6hqJo In 3-phase faults, only positive components exist. Negative and zero sequence components are absent. For details, you may watch following video lecture: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4SngJmdqZyknKs
