How does Crystalis get through play testing? It's absolutely nutzo! Even as an uncommon it would be format defining. Eldrazi are too powerful in this set.

Argent Dias is actually pretty strong. I had one in my Genku draft deck and it was great for exiling my own permanents to get tokens and draw cards, and fizzling removal, and stopping my opponents from attacking for would be lethal with 2 or more creatures, and for exiling my tokens for more cards, and for having a later game mana sink, and for allowing easy chump blocks that gains me resources, and with Dreamtide Whale which I also had it was a great card to proliferate, and to draw extra cards to fuel the whale more, and as a way to get value off the whale even when the last counter would be removed, and with the Nadu I also had in that draft it was great for targeting my own permanents to get more triggers. Basically it’s not a card to overlook, it has a ton of unexpected uses and synergies that makes it very much worth picking and running.

When you have 4 of a rare or mythic picking another gives gems since it is not adding additional cards to your collection. 20 gems for a rare and 40 gems for a mythic.

The issue I’m having is pack one the Draco deck is clearly over drafted. Like 5th pick in only white / black / some blue / some red left by the end of the pack / start of pack two people are realizing and flip flopping. By the end of pack 3 I feel like I just have a mosh mash of cards I’m not proud of. It’s really frustrating. I’m trying to stay open but then the lane that’s open isn’t by mid pack 2. I’m losing my patience with this format at the moment I think.

Might be your rank? I bet at lower ranks you get worse drafters and people switch mid draft to different colors because they just aren’t very good drafters

@@MrNesgamefreak I'm pretty sure the draft itself is not ranked. (Otherwise, there would be times when it takes way too long for drafts to fire.) Anyone, from bronze to mythic, can be in the same draft pod.

@@davestier6247 There are hidden rankings *for matchmaking*. There is zero evidence that the drafts themselves aren't first come, first served - i.e. as soon as eight people join, a draft fires. How would a hidden rank for drafts even work? Are you thinking there are hidden "tiers", where behind the scenes the server has separate 8-person pods for gold, platinum, mythic, etc.? I take it you have never sat in a draft queue at off times of day, or a draft format that's been out for a while and few people are playing, waiting 5 or 10 minutes (or more) for a draft to fire. There is *no way* that WOTC would want to make drafts take LONGER to fire by having separate, hidden draft pods for different ranks. What on earth would be the benefit to them of doing that, compared to the cost of making drafts take two, or three, or four times as long to fire (depending on how many hidden "tiers" they had)? MMR for matchmaking is easy to implement without slowing down the player experience because the server only has to match you with one other player, and the volume of matches at any given time is much higher than the volume of draft pods. Implementing an MMR system when you are trying to match *8* different players would be unworkable.

Yea it wouldn’t make sense to match make draft pods. I think it’s more about the set. This type of set hasn’t really been available on arena and I think newer players, or players who are more inexperienced tend to force draft what they know about the set. Or first pick a good rare and jam twords that. Idk. 🤷. Just venting my frustrations. First draft set I’ve gone 0-3 twice lol. My Avg is about 6-3

Drafted an esper deck and absolutely destroyed the first game, then I lost 2 and won 1 then lost. Great start but I flooded out and then it just turned out the deck needed a perfect curve to win.

ajani in draft is pretty bad, there's really not many cats to pick and it often dies before it can be flipped. Eldrazi is the way

terrible take, probably one of the best cheap white creatures next to the energy dude its not like it wins you the game on the spot but what exactly are you expecting from a 2 drop (that already has good stats and can flip into a walker)

@@AlkonKomm the card is ok, not good in limited tho where you have a 6/6 trampler for 4 and huge creatures, if he dies before the cat it's basically a 1/2 that does nothing, and that's it for most of the time in any limited match.
