Sir solubility should decrease down the group solubility directly related hoti hai hydration energy and inversely related hoti hai lattice energy say pr donon he down the group decrease krti hai but in case of alkali metals lattice energy dominate krti hai means lattice energy main decrease ziada hota hai I think mainly bcz size sab say largr hota hai unka apnay period main as compared to hydration energy so hm kahtay solubility increase krti hai but agr alkaline earth metals main aisa nahi hai hydration energy dominate krti hai. This is my point of view which I crosschecked from byjus website But agr koi or point hai jiski wajah say increase kr rahi hai to plz explain kr dain .
@nufalzamuyassar19702 жыл бұрын
I cannot share screenshot on KZbin but copy paste kr sakti hun here is the text from website . Why Solubility of Alkaline Earth Metals decreases down the Group? Beryllium ion is the most soluble and the solubility decreases with increasing size so that Barium ion is the least water-soluble alkaline earth metal ion. Solubility in water is related to the ionic nature and size. Smaller ions have higher charge density and can be solvated by more water molecules. This releases a higher enthalpy of hydration and makes the hydrated ions more stable. Example: Solubility of Be2+ > Solubility of Mg2+ > Solubility of Ca2+ > Solubility of Sr2+ > Solubility of Ba2+
@ChemistrybyAdil2 жыл бұрын
I have stated that solubility of alkaline earth metal compounds should be asked. Hydroxides increases Sulphates decreases Carbonates insoluble So the question is ambiguous
@arbiabdulrehman74552 жыл бұрын
Oxide of alkaline earth metal and Hydroxide of alkanine earth metal also increase down the group
