Awesome demo as usual Cam. Very cool specs. Though I have to say I never got the appeal of a reverse headstock. Kind of diminishes the overall look of a guitar in my opinion. But to each his own...
@REDW1NG949 күн бұрын
I always saw it as form follows function. A reverse headstock is a lot more ergonomic. Your hand is already in the position to retune while playing.

I live in Italy, in a big city like Milan, and for at least 20 years (I'm 53) I haven't seen a single music store (in Milan or anywhere else in Italy) that sells Washburn guitars. What's even worse is that I can't find any resellers in the rest of Europe that sell them either. Every time I've asked guitar stores why they don't sell Washburn anymore, they've always told me that the quality of their products was so bad (except for a few very expensive American models) that they decided to stop buying anything from them. Since I'm already writing, I wanted to mention something about those videos you made a while back where you were so excited about the Yamaha THR10 and THR10II amps. I bought a THR10II myself because I was really impressed by how close you got to the Van Halen sound in your video. I tried everything you suggested to get that same tone (using the same settings you suggested), but I couldn't quite make it happen. I even swapped out the pickup on my Ibanez for a high-output DiMarzio X2N, and I still couldn't get that level of gain. I tried with a Gibson Les Paul too, but no luck. I think there are several possible explanations for this: 1) you were using an overdrive pedal before the amp 2) you were playing at a very high volume, absolutely incompatible with a home environment 3) you recorded the audio not by micing the amp but by using the headphone output and plugging it into a sound card where you processed it
@CameronCooper22 күн бұрын
All of those points you mentioned I don't do. I don't own overdrive pedal for a start. I can't play at high volume same way most people can't. And I don't own a sound card either. No point since the Yamaha is it's own interface. I plugged the Yamaha THR30II into my computer using the exact same settings I shared on my KZbin channel. I don't do any further processing afterwards either. I just synchronise the audio with the video clips.

You need to buy that guitar. I've been watching your channel since you had spots on your face and this is the most versatile sounding video you've produced. Great playing and Demo Cameron. Love Nuno, like the pickup switching options but for me the guitar is dull and looks like a rmiddle school woodwork project😮. Having to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod on a ‘non-vintage’ style guitar retailing over £2000 is not what I would expect.

There is a truss rod adjustment routing in the body. You don’t need to remove the neck.
