It looks like a great machine to me. Uncomplicated and making good espresso's. The watertank is large. The driptray is rather large. The lid of the the watertank is connected by means of a hinge. No hassle with temperature surfing. And no wait times between making espresso and steaming milk. Anyway a pleasure to make espresso's and cappuccino's with this machine.

How often should I descale if I only use it about 3-4 days a week, pulling 2-3 shots?

This depends on the type of water you use (i.e. does it have a high mineral content) but a safe answer would be monthly if you use your machine regularly. If you use it less frequently, once or twice a year may suffice.

I wish they already install the opv kit so that pressure is at 9 bar and the group head is not leaking

Definitely can be an easy fix or we were able to adjust our espresso recipe to achieve great results given the higher pressure. For the price and the ability to upgrade the individual components, it’s a great machine! Another user commented that the positioning of the dispersion screen can help with the leaking, as well as tightening the screw, and back flushing more often.

How many seconds to you think is good for the perfect shot in this machine?

Generally a good double shot is extracted within 20-30 seconds but sometimes if a shot runs longer it can still be good. For a double shot, aim for 18.5 grams of espresso in the portafilter, around 20-30 seconds, with a 36 gram output. Hope this helps!

The Oscar 2 is priced right. Yet hobbyist wont go for it. It looks like it allows minimal input from the user. That takes away from the joy of owning it. Its also not beautiful to look at although it wont matter to some. Its for those who actualy want an automatic coffee maker. Its a great investment for a coffee shop owner.
