New Earth was my favorite record of 2021. I was lucky to get to catch them play an after midnight show at Saint Vitus last December. This new jam suggests an escalation on the dark synth pop and italo disco elements of the first record, but with an almost Japanese city pop like sensibility introduced. Very unique sound.

One of many people who first got exposed to them via Molchat Doma’s tour. As a Gen Z fan of 80’s synthpop I had always wished I was able to go to see HI-NRG / new wave / synthpop groups back in its heyday, it literally felt like stepping in a time machine at the show. Young people with a vintage sound, young people in the crowds, yet not a single phone in the air. I have yet to come across a single video of their set on social media from the city I attended
