I have bought the same keyboard with baby raccoon switch. Love it so much ❤❤❤

I got the Halo75 with Nuphy’s Rose Glacier switches. I knew that I needed something tactile, so I went with those. My first keyboard had MX blues and, while the Rose Glaciers felt nicer, I discovered how much I need that audible feedback. I eventually swapped them for box pinks (thanks to a certain person’s channel :p) and I couldn’t be happier!

@@KeebNews I haven't tried box jades, but I might get them in my next keyboard.

Keebio has solid prebuilt keyboard switch options. It used to be Kailh Box Jades, Gateron Milky Yellows, and Boba U4’s/U4T’s as the options. I think they’ve had issues with the Gazzew supplier, so they’ve replaced that with Durock Shrimps, Durock Dolphins, and Durock Sunflowers Just wanted to point it out in regards to what you said about most prebuilts having kinda meh options

What is the USB on a keyboard used for? Can it connect wirelessly via USB?

If only it had QMK/VIA/VIAL compatibility, I think Nuphy would be up with Keychron in terms of being recommended nowadays as they have the 60/75/1800 layouts already

I think this might be coming soon. The Halo series is currently out of stock on Nuphy's website, and their new Air V2 line has QMK/VIA support

Just saw your video " tips for buying your first mechanical keyboard". Do you recommend this one over the Royal Kludge?

Great video! I have the 65, 75, and 96. After trying all the switches out, I settled with Rose Glacier. Less "sharp" as the Baby Kangaroos with a great tactile bump and sound. :)

Hey Pete (or anyone that's used this kb), Are they any usage or performance differences between wired, 2.4Ghz, and BT modes? As far as dropping inputs, battery life, etc? What about the BBKs? Do they need lube?

I bought an RK61. I’ve been experimenting with it. It has foam, tape and MLV in it for sound dampening. But then I got weird and hot glued pennies inside the case.

I bought this and was initially very pleased but did the key combo to use the increase volume, next previous keys on the number row and it ended up sticking. I could not use the secondary functions like % or () or @ and I could not do the reset. I had to do a firmware update and I am scared to try it again. I have never had a keyboard - and I have bought a nuphy in the past - that I have had to do this before.

Which switches are the best for long hours typing? It should be tactile too

So many options really but one good one that doesn't break the bank would be Akko Lavender Purple V3. It has good factory lube, is light to type on and still has a nice and crisp tactile bump. Hope this helps!

“We made the bottom plastic to let wireless work better” - Nuphy & ASUS making shit excuses for using plastic when it’s clear that wireless can be done in a metal case if you just leave a window à la the Keychron Pro series I can excuse it for Nuphy at least as they’re a smaller company. No excuse for ASUS being cheap bastards I get that people associate plastic with a lower quality than metal, but people need to get over that because plastic boards can sound good as hell sometimes

Agree on plastic still being a great option. And truthfully, I have NO IDEA about the "wireless works better" claim. We should test that.

@@KeebNews I think it’s true that if you don’t leave a plastic or somehow otherwise permeable area for the Bluetooth, it doesn’t work nearly as well through metal. JYMV did a vid on an old GB split metal board that had huge Bluetooth issues, assumedly because of the all-metal case. I also assume the Q Pro keyboards wouldn’t have that plastic window on the back for the wireless signal if it wasn’t necessary because I’m sure that adds to the machining cost
