I have a Samsung S22 Plus and the new Pixel 7 (which has been absolutely trouble free so far)! The new Pixel 7 series supposedly supports the new Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) codec!

I've never tried any Nura products but Floss you're absolutely right about those Devialet Gemini. Just got done testing them against the Buds 2 Pro, Bose QC 2, Sony WFXM4, Soundcore Liberty 4, and LG T90. Bro those DG's are freakin AMAZING. Probably the closest high quality headphone sound I've found in an earbud

Nuratrue Pro is way louder than Beoplay EX ; Nuratrue Pro : when is turn up to more than 60-70% , it will be way too loud for me Beoplay EX : at 95-100% volume it is still fine for me You have a very important question that (sad to say) I realised most of the KZbinr reframe from looking into. I think reviewer EL JeFe is very good alternative opinion as well. For eg Sennhesier M3 , volume is veiled as well though great sound For Nuratrue Pro : You won’t regret if you are looking for best Sound Quality (this probably will be it) . That kind of details , soundstage and bass blending yet not overlapping with each other is probably one of the best. Another you can explore is Fokus Pro Mystic, I think Devialet Gemini price dropped quite a bit and in my country is about 40% cheaper than Ex . It is almost equivalent to EX (IMO) in terms of sound quality

Shure TW2 has this for years lossless audio I recommend se846 model. Allows for use with wire and amp or wireless lossless both ways.

your reviews are always on point! besides my airpods I've gotten my backup earbuds from your reviews which I have the LG Tones. I'm still an Audio Technica guy for over the ears headphones but now recently they released the ATH-TWX9 buds so hope maybe you get to those as I trust the Audio Technica sound but haven't experienced any of their earbuds

They have been numerous improvements implemented in the NuraTrue Pro, the main one being the support for aptX Adaptive and Lossless - which allows the highest quality audio transfer over Bluetooth currently available. Samsung S23 and Tidal offers aptX Adaptive and the sound quality won't disappoint, whereby the iPhone will only transmit using their AAC codec, which is a lower quality. Very impressive wireless buds and worth spend the $.

Floss with my testing KZbin Music Premium sounds better than Apple, Tidal and Amazon Music, plus no commercials on KZbin. You have to go into settings and set everything to High to get the best sound quality.

Unless you have the equipment to handle that you won't notice a difference just playing it through your phone. I have a dongle dac with a decent pair of iems. The difference is night and day, yet I'm STILL not getting the most out of loseless audio

That's if the phone and audio device supports LDAC of course. So if im interested in how this aptx lossless codec in real world testing now that we have many streaming apps that support lossless audio besides Spotify which I have no idea as to why they haven't hopped on the lossless train yet

Nura makes some of my favorite Bluetooth audio products, so I can definitely recommend picking up a pair regardless if you want lossless or not. If you want to take advantage of lossless though, make sure you're using a device that supports aptX Lossless and also using a music streaming service that supports lossless audio (Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited, etc.). Unfortunately, Floss was not able to take advantage of lossless audio during testing since he used KZbin Music.

Flossy you are my go to for reviews. I wanted to share my experience tonight when I received mine and connected to the iPhone 14 pro max and played Miguel - Sure Thing. The volume less than 3/4 and immersion mode at 1/2 and pure distortion. “The fit to my right ear was poor and no matter the tip used not much changed. I’ll stick with my Samsung Bud Pro. Sending back the Nura true pro headphones. Hope this helps your fans. Active noise cancellation also poor.

@flossy Curious to know how is it giving lossless Audio, because The head phones have loss less audio, and the phone is capable of lossless audio, but you are using KZbin music which does not have lossless audio. Which means you will not get lossless audio.

It is the lossless representation of the KZbin music stream. Meaning you'll hear the music exactly as KZbin music gives it to you without any lossy codec interference

I was wondering if you had a chance to check in the settings to verify that the buds were indeed connected to the phone while using the AptX Lossless codec. Is that the default codec with the phone, if it's supported?

The Snapdragon Sound logo popped up when the buds connected, so in theory that means the buds were connected with aptX lossless. However, KZbin Music does not support lossless audio, so Floss was not actually able to take advantage of it.

@@GereldTheCat Maybe try reading how it works, it upscales music so it doesn’t need to be from a specific source, it’s built into the phone.

It basically works like a ZIP file on a computer; the phone compresses the lossless audio file to decrease file size without losing quality, sends it to the earbuds, and then the earbuds uncompress it to bring it back to its original lossless quality. So you still need to be listening from a lossless audio source in order to get lossless quality. aptX Lossless can't upscale an MP3 quality file to make it lossless.
