It was great to see these cars again. I was at the race that year too and the video brings back a lot of memories. I got Dick Attwoods autograph after the race near Exmuhle where his Gulf Mirage had broken down. Thanks for sharing the video.

In that race, sadly the lone Chaparral had to retire early and the race was won by Porsche 908 prototypes coming in 1st to 5th in one row. Very impressive, but still my admiration was with that Chaparral driven by Jim Hall

what a wonderfull document of best period in racing, golden age, really. even if the film is not top-quality, the impressions are..! if you have more of this, please let us share it , there are not much documents like this, brings back my youth, as i remember this race very well, esp. the grumbling sound of the chapparal. also nice sequences down hatzenbach-valley, rare shots from a dangerous place ....

Welcome Everyone, I miss those days also, at least at that time you could tell what kind of cars they were from a distance. Today you dont know what it is they all look the same with different paint jobs.
