this is still by far the most impressive car/lap ever. All the record laps that beat this, were factory support on the most fresh of hard core track tires. This guy came in and did his lap on the same tires he drove to the track and back.

As a former racing driver all l can say is exceptional driving, some huge over steer moments that were caught with so much talent, one massive huge moment l thought that was it but he gathered it up together. l am amazed at how stable the car was even though it was on the limit. Been thinking about buying a Radical for some time, this has totally convinced me

I remember this car from the game Project Gotham Racing 3. Amazing control in an amazing machine. I was so impressed with how the tires were barely squealing throughout the lap whilst being driving almost tot the edge. Chapeau to the driver!!!!!

Looks like me driving to work on a 10 mile dirt road driving an old Volvo 544. I was going a LOT slower but it felt as fast. It was even more fun on packed snow. This astounding time was done with a relatively small engine and not without mistakes. Great drive and great video. Thanks

pv544's still run in some historic rallies. I used to run a "slightly modified" (hoho) '60s LandRover that I could chase Mercedes down the autobahn at 130+mph but also cross ploughed fields at over 70mph. Old fart/petrolhead - I blame the parents...

@@forandonbehalfof4753 my favorite dirt road car was a '94 Buick Roadmaster Wagon. The thing would float over the bumps and potholes, slide the corners and, with the LS-1 stock V-8 rush down the straights. Not very precise but a lot of fun. Eventually the frame rotted out. I miss that car.

The sound and video are great with this awesome drive. Hearing the car slide in the tight corners almost let’s you feel it, too. The car seems almost a go kart, watching the flimsy cowling flutter in the airstream.

You don't realize what it takes until you get that sr8 on the ring and you get bumped like hell in the car 😀 I have gotten even older I guess, I haven't been driving since a while now. Inspired driving! From watching the drivers hands, the car was definitely getting a bit a “dancy” under breaking on corner entry. There were quite a few 11/10ths moments - superb.

My friend owned X180R #10 back in 1996. I also owned an S4 back then. We were students in Boston. Right now I have an BRG Esprit Sport 300. Strange thing I had the same idea about throwing away the 4 and swapping it with the hayabusa V8. 😍

Most Radicals are powered by motorcycle engines. The "8" they created are basicly two 4 cylinder motorcycle engines paired together in a common block.
