Hello again. Thanks to your help, I'm really enjoying the Lidl flying wing. I want to take it a step further and 3D print the BOW DLG. I saw that it uses the AG03 airfoil and AG11 tip. If I had to choose an aerodynamic airfoil profile right now, what would it be? The 3D printer doesn't mind how complex it is, (reflex) etc. The idea is to fly in a wide range of conditions, with a preference for light breeze and thermal conditions rather than strong 25 km/h winds. However, it will always be flown on a slope with some wind and basic acrobatics like loops, rolls, and inverted flight. I was surprised by how well the Lidl flies inverted, jejeje. I thought about using Peter Wick's PW RES airfoil, but could it be too thick and slow for DLG launches ??

Hi! I took the AG03 -AG11 for my VH-bow because i used the grinding plan of Mark Drela. This airfoil-set provides not very much lift with flaps reflexed. You can scale down this wing to 110 cm : www.rc-network.de/attachments/res-bow-1995-flg.10662898/ With: www.zanonia.de/ranis.php you get anything you need (planform, airfoils, twist, CG .....). Reflex of the flaps and the fixed part of the Trailing edge is about 3 mm. Kind regards Franz

I took a Lidl-Glider cut the wing in 3 peaces and glued it together without dihedral and with a straight trailing edge. Then i added a spar (carbon tube 5 mm), wingtips and flaps (5/50 triangular trailing edge) made of balsa and a rudder, that starts at the hinge line, with a length of about 22 cm and a hight of 13 cm. CG: Sorry, i gave the wing to a young guy and did not note the position of the CG Reflex: -3 mm Flight modes (- means up): start +- 0 mm glide -1 mm, thermal -2 mm Aileron: - 14 mm + 16 m (a bit of inverse differential) Elevator: +- 4 mm Kind regards Franz

It is very helpful to have the dimensions and at the same time to see how the model behaves during a discus launch and how well it rolls. Thanks a lot for these detailed information! I'll go back to my current Lidl wing build now...🙂
