Wow, thank you for the valuable information. As a second-year NP student, I have not thought must about an "NP contract". Oh my, so much to consider; however, I will be better prepared, with an increased understanding of what to look for, what to expect, and what to refuse. Perhaps, I should hire an attorney for assistance with employment contracts as @Tick Tock suggested.

Yeah, if you can afford it that would be a great idea.

my advice is to get a LAWYER to read over your contract...13-17 page contracts require expert eyes...best money you will spend...you mentioned how desperate np's are for jobs...what do you think about all these schools spitting out np's left and right...great content as always

Yes, if you can afford it that is a great idea. Many physicians recommend this during contract negotiations as well. If you can swing it, I'd recommend a lawyer also - if you feel you can't interpret the information yourself. The more pages, the more opportunity for "gray zones" haha. Lawyers clear things up real quick and provide great guidance in this process. In terms of the job market, my area hasn't seen saturation (yet). Thank you for watching and your support.
