Quick Note: Question 2 When H+ in HCl is replaced by NH4+, the resulting compound formed is NH4Cl and this compound is an acidic salt. Note this Reason: NH4Cl is an acid salt because the NH4+ ion is a weak acid and can release H+ ions in solution,making the solution acidic. The solution formed at the end was acidic that is why the compound formed is acidic While for the part of H+ been replaced by Na+ in HCL to form Nacl is a Normal(Neutral salt) Reason: NaCl is a normal (neutral) salt because it results from the complete neutralization of a strong acid (HCl) by a strong base (NaOH), and it produces a neutral solution in water. The solution formed at the end was neutral that is why the compound should be a neutral salt
