If you want your branch cuts to be less visible and heal quicker. I have had good luck with a tool that is a hybrid between a branch cutter and a knob cutter. It goes by a lot of conflicting names but the most descriptive is a spherical concave branch cutter. The internet is you best place to find one. Mine is a Ryuga brand and cost around $50. You might also try applying a cut paste to the cambial layer after a cut is made.

Hello again, Ben, Just so you know, a concave branch cutter is not the same tool as a spherical concave branch cutter. I would send you a photo but don’t know how to (I am techno-challenged). Mine is a Ryuga brand bought through Amazon. Maybe that info will get you photos of this gadget. Regards, Jeff

Yes I do. It's a mixture of optisorb, pine bark, and pumice if I have it
