Its absolutely beautiful! I remember sorting everything before my daughter was born 30 years ago, we had no money so I covered cardboard boxes in cute paper to store her things in. I'm enjoying surrogate grandma vibes with your pregnancy x

I agree Christmas with children is so magical also gives us the feeling of re living our childhood and I loved buying all the toys etc . I can remember getting really excited to see my daughter open her toys and play with them but she played with the boxes lol

Loved looking around baby boy's nursery! Takes me back 15yrs to when my baby girl's nursery was all ready for her. I used to love going in&looking at all her little things that I had lovingly & excitedly put together for her ❤ She's in the same room, talking&laughing with her friends past midnight! She's on her school holidays. It's so unbelievably precious being a mum, she has saved me, without knowing, in my darkest moments. She has made me complete ❤ I had my nappies in a little basket just like yours, it's very practical & also looks really nice. Time really does go by so quickly & I know you will treasure & be mindful of every moment. 💛

Gamma it is without doubt a beautiful nursery. Others have mentioned this but just be careful with things over and in the cot. Whilst they look beautiful they can be dangerous for babies and toddlers. Babies are not bothered by aesthetics so please make sure you think of safety above this. Looking forward to meeting the little one and your next stage in life, so exciting 😁

Oh Gemma. I love everything. Congrats on your baby. I love boys. I have two. Enjoy every minute because they grow so fast. Mine are 30 and 34 ! I can’t believe I was just decorating their nurseries I have an excellent relationship and communication with them. Starts from day one. Talk to baby. And listen, change with their likes and dislikes, let kids know you are there to listen and never judge, praise when they do something good, talk about the ‘’wrong’’ they do and how you can learn from it. Allow boys to cry and be expressive, let them have fun and involve them with everything you do. Teach, praise,listen and love ❤️. Love from New York 😘👍🏼. Oh and my kids love Winnie too 🍯😃

The nursery is absolutely stunning. It could be in a magazine but still so cozy. For the wicker baskets, if yours don't have felt pads on the bottom, you should put then so it doesn't scratch the wood! I'm so excited for him to be here. You will be amazing parents ❤️

👌Changing mat hack👶 I buy puppy pads for those little accidents whilst changing nappies. I put changing mat on the floor, then a blanket for soft comfy, then a puppy pad, then a square of puppy pad (large one cut into 4 quarters). Then when baby is having a few mins no nappy time and has a wee, whip away the little square and replace with another clean one. Large puppy pad is for any wee over spills, also any pukes/spit ups and protects the blanket but generally stays clean most of the time. I put everything in my babies room and ended up finding that I change nappies and her clothes in the front room, so I have a tub for clothes that are quick to grab and a tub for bibs and muslins. Mum to a 11 week old and I've been watching your videos for years! ❤

I also make up a few bottles of formula and leave them in the fridge, when baby is hungry, pop one in the bottle warmer whilst I change her nappy. I've tried ready made formula (costs a fortune). I've tried bottle making machine (it's barely gets to 70*c so I wasn't convinced it was killing any bacteria). I've also tried making bottles up as and when they were needed (takes too long and baby starts crying). Prep bottles in advance and leave in fridge but only ever make more once the last one is taken out to avoid any confusion over when they were made. Here's the 'use by' times with bottles: 24 hours - A bottle freshly made, cooled within 2 hours of making and put in fridge. 2 hours - A bottle freshly made, cooled to baby's temperature but untouched by baby's mouth. 1 hour - A bottle freshly made, cooled to baby's temperature and has been touched by baby's mouth. (This starts bacteria growing in the milk). With expressing breast milk I think I remember bottles of breast milk can last couple of days in the fridge and 4 hours at room temp but don't quote me on that. Breast milk is self sterile so it's safer to leave hanging about then formula. I hope this helps xx
