This is Korea. and I'm trying to prepare for my job interview for working in the US. Can you put subtitles in English so that I can translate into Korean?

College (and nursing school) teaches you many things. Not just the "book learning" but also you need to mature as a person. I struggled with my classes, because I still had the "I can figure this out myself" mentality. College requires you to take information, boil it down into something you can learn for the exam ( flash cards, summarize information into one sentence, making diagrams). ....In other words, you learn how to think for the job you are going for ( not just nursing, but the type) When asked job interview questions, I would spend less than half the time talking about yourself as an individual ( what your last job was, or your hobbies) but more than half of the time in the interview talking about HOW you became a nurse ( how studying nursing changed you from a student, to someone who thinks like a nurse).

I dont think when they ask you about yourself you should say you play sport. you should look at the company values and make them your own.. you can use hobbies that enhance your profile (I enjoy reading and writing, this allows me to acquire a much in-depth vocabulary which is very useful when writing care plans; I am a self-learner and self-motivated Nurse. this allows me to learn about new guidelines and requirements). I hope I made sense..

I think she mentioned that to highlight being a team player. She knows how to get along with others because she was part of a team. Which is an important nurse quality

This was awesome! Thank you for making this! My question would be, how many questions is too many, to ask them?

Just some advice as a listener, the word um is being said to much in this video. Try not to use that as much in future videos. Makes it hard to follow and listen along :) other than that, it was great! Thank you for all the great nursing interview advice

Strange-- I didnt have any problems following the video. It seemed to be an off-the-cuff, candid presentation, not formal. "Umm" is a fairly normal part of speech in informal settings..

Thanks for the video. I suggest trying to say umm less though I counted 7 or 8 in the first minute.

But she actually did well in the interviews. KZbin is a more informal setting-- thus one is more likely to say "umm.."

Thank you for the advice! Very helpful and great tips. People are quick to judge about the “um”’s but I was able to take the gems from this video. My filler word is “like” 😩
