It happens. The semester that I took Med Surg, I was dealing with a lot and my anxiety levels was just too much. I could not pass a exam for the life of me. I needed a 94% on the final to pass the class and I almost didn't even take the final. We had a nursing bar crawl after the exam and I just released the stress that night. I woke up to a dismissal letter that following morning and my heart dropped. I called my mom and told her that I am packing my stuff and didn't know if I wanted to reapply. I went to my parents house for a few days and had to return to meet with the Nursing Coordinator to find out what happened and how I can improve. I hated the fact that I was retaking the class and I had four other friends that failed too. You will just need to keep pushing and find ways to take care of yourself during the process. I failed my NCLEX the first time and I took that hard too but now I am a Registered Nurse. You can do it Nurse Roni!

Thank you so much nurse Ronald Harris ! I appreciate the encouragement. I won't even go into the chaos that I had to deal with bc then I'd have to disclose the pvt info of others. I'm trying not to place blame and just "suck it up". I've already ready decided to cut off a few ppl for the next round simply bc I can't deal with the problems they bring, you know. I'll be taking my final on Tues and we'll see how that goes. I think I just need do to prove to SELF that I'm capable lol (darn overachiever)

I was the same way. Compared to most nursing student in my cohort I had to work a little harder just to get by and I was harder on myself. You just need to keep yourself healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally...also financially (easier said than done) haha. Just picture yourself walking across the stage with your kids and husband looking at you and keep that image going through the craziness nursing school brings. I don't miss it at all and completely left the state where my school was located haha. I said I was done for so many things haha.
