Hey! Sorry, I took a break from KZbin so I’m delayed responding. L&D is REALLY hard to get into but if there are positions out there in your area APPLY!!! I would also highly recommend getting some emergency medicine background, it will be really helpful. Other than that, it really just depends on the state and hospital if they allow LPNs to work on that unit and to what level. Use LinkedIn to look for those positions

I’m wondering the same thing. I’m in southern California and LVNs aren’t commonly hired in that. Even RNs can have trouble getting jobs in this. It’s a popular specialty

It really depends on the hospital - I was full time and worked 3 12hr shifts. We also did self scheduling which was great! But again, depends on the hospital and unit.

What did you used to passed your TEAS test

I did not have to take the TEAS. I was prior military and we were allowed to challenge the nursing exam due to my scope of practice.

It all depends on your unit - every hospital and unit is different. I had a lunch break and 2 15min breaks on a 12hr shift.

Thank you for the feedback! At around 15-16 minutes in the video is where I start showing myself at work and what that looks like but there is only so much I can actually record on the unit. Nonetheless I will be more mindful about the titles. 😀
