We are partnering with Barung Landcare to restore critical habitats for two of Queensland’s most vulnerable species-the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly and Pink Underwing Moth-at our Maleny Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Together, we’ll be planting more than 60 Birdwing Butterfly and Carronia Vines in the rehabilitated Porters Wood Forest. These vines are essential for the survival of these species, providing crucial food sources for their caterpillars.
By planting these vines, we’re not just planting plants-we’re planting the future for these incredible species. And by doing so, we’re fulfilling our role as stewards of this ecological community.
