I don’t know why but I am so fascinated by the Nurvv technology, your last two videos about it has peaked my interest about it a lot. I just love the idea that you can see how you strike your foot when running and if you pronate or not. Very interesting stuff!

Nice comparison ! Great content .. i have been using your site as a good example to set up my own KZbin channel.. just this week. Not as polished as yours ... great stuff .

Very interested in seeing my data from Nurvv running, as I have very odd foot strike or at least odd of me 😂, but can’t pull the trigger at that price point. I agree that battery pack needs to go.

Thx for the review. I like the idea of the Nurvv. Worry though I would buy one - get terrible results and not be able to fix anything. Having said that I paid a similar amount for a gait analysis by a pro. At least with the device you can repeat the test whenever you want.

"I know you're not gonna click on it anyway!" Because we've already watched it ;) I wonder if you have different foot sizes? Could that influence the pronation readings? Because you look a lot more stable in the Bondi
@kofuzi
@kofuzi 4 жыл бұрын
I do have different foot sizes, and my understanding is that most people have slightly different foot sizes. I think the reason I look more stable in the Bondi is either because the wider platform does make me more stable or because the extra cushion masks my foot movement

Stryd is also GPS? Does Stryd measure the distance?

Fwiw : all the roads are shown as the same line in maps - see it a lot in the suburbs where the is parking on both sides. Shows me 'well' off the 'road' but I know the road is 25'-30' wide. Interesting seeing the maps show a 3 lane highway the same width as a one way st. The satellite overlay would be much more interesting to see.

no one way streets along this route the streets, whether dirt or paved, are the same width as far as the equivalent segments are shown on nurvv vs polar.

So you need stability on the left foot and not on the right? Could an insole help with that? I wonder what people with problematic asymmetries do.
@kofuzi
@kofuzi 4 жыл бұрын
I would suspect most people are asymmetrical. I don’t think I need any insole, but I suppose this data argues against me
@franklehouillier8865
@franklehouillier8865 4 жыл бұрын
@@kofuzi I completely agree. It seems unlikely that your asymmetry is problematic. Given that your knee pain is on the side that the Nurvv seems to think is doing a good job I certainly wouldn't want to try to muck with the other foot to make them more symmetrical. No need to have pain in both knees.

Who can define running power? I thought that is a quite vague concept
@Jetlag69
@Jetlag69 4 жыл бұрын
Everything that humans do have limited parameters. So defining a standard for power to go forward shouldn’t be too hard considering they have the data of millions of runners and pro athletes already

Kofuzi what types of ways do you plan to test out the Nurvv technology? I know you don’t own any stability shoes and actively avoid them because of your knee but do you plan on maybe running in stability shoes with the Nurvv insole just to see how well a stability show truly works? Probably not worth it to by shoes for testing purposes like that but it sure would be some interesting data that a lot of people would love to see.

Great content Kofuzi! I ordered a pair of under armour hovr phantom shoes to use the foot pod it has integrated for $100 to sync with mapmyrun on my phone vs buying a $230 styrd pod and all the other higher end pods. Any chance you or anyone here has used ua hovr shoes? I'm more of a Bondi user.

Move. More. Now. James Nielsen I have both the Stryd and coros pod - like the Stryd way better. The coros pod I kept getting like a double bounce the cadence was way off so had difficulty trusting it. The Stryd is just a better design.

i was like very interested for that nurvv thing but the first analytic screen in this video totally buted it for me :D what load of f-all... they atleast should try to revamp the text in the analytic if nothing else and be very aware on using "poor" -wording to not create nocebo.... our feet are designed by thousands of years of evolutoontTO FUCKEN PRONATE! if this does not happen then this affects the lower and upper ankle joint, this affects your knees, this affect your hips and so on...
