Hi Anna! Thanks so much for making this video!! I'm actually thinking of studying abroad here next semester (Jan 2017) Can you give me any recommendations for which dorm I should apply for? I want to be in a college residential area with other exchange students/regular students at NUS and I want to be located in a central place close to campus. Can you also give me suggestions as to what dining options are the best? Thank you so much!!!
@aiyaanna7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jamie! I would definitely recommend you get a dorm that is located in University Town (UTown), which is the newest and most central part of the NUS campus. I lived in the Tembusu College dorms, and would highly recommend them also Cinnamon College, College of Alice & Peter Tan and Residential College 4 are basically the same! Definitely avoid Prince George's Park Residences (PGPR) because it is very far from everyone and the dorms are older with lots of bugs :P When it comes to dining, I was required to get a meal plan living in the UTown dorms, but the food is great and they have lots of variety. If you want more details just direct message me! I have this whole list of tips that I created about Singapore/NUS in general if you would like me to send that to you! You're gonna love studying abroad!

Hey Anna! I'm actually going there next month from North Carolina (UNC-Chapel Hill)! I was wondering how you were able to connect to the internet in your dorm since you said the common area was the only place with WiFi? Thanks!!!!!
@annastars20026 жыл бұрын
Rosario Villa I'm not sure if its different now (this video was from almost 3 years ago) but when i was at NUS, they had an ethernet plug in each dorm room and I would connect my laptop that way to get internet. At the time my laptop didn't have hot spot capabilities but I know some of my friends did that so they could use their phones in their rooms too. I would go to the common rooms or to the computer labs to get Wi-Fi. I know some of my local roommates bought their own internet. You could ask them if you could use it as well. Good luck! You're going to love Singapore!
