Thanks so much for making the video. I bought the B1X and I thought my unit was broken on arrival, because I put in fully charged batteries and it wouldn't turn on. Welcome! Also some people use powerbank and connect the USB to mini USB but only problem with that is the powerbank sometimes gets hot. Perhaps for short gigs. I’ve been using rechargeable batteries. I bought it from IKEA with the charger. And up to now I’m still using the Zoom G1Four. I did try the USB but I’m not too keen because the power banks is getting hot and usually I rehearse and/or gig more than 1 hour sometimes I rehearse for 2-4 hours with breaks in between and I’m scared the power bank might explode. So yeah the rechargeable batteries for me is the best solution. Al though you can buy good batteries from Poundland. The Kodak Xtra Life AA batteries.

Hi, did you face any noise issues , for some of the preset it became horrible. Please also share what setings you use in your amp for this device.

Yes some of the patches got a bit of noise because it's probably got High Gain. And at times they didn't put the Noise Gate or ZNR. Also another factor is the guitar. When I use humbucker, like a Les Paul or SG type of guitar, the noise is tamed. But with a single coil like a strat type, the noise is prominent. You can either customise the patch by adding noise gate or ZNR or lessen the gain level or swap with a different amp sim or overdrive. Here's a playlist where I edited or created patches. Yes that’s correct plus on the settings for the battery you can choose between alkaline or Ni-MH for rechargeable batteries

in my experience especially if you use the celphone charger, it becomes really hot if youre using it for long periods of time. Let's say you got band rehearsal for two to four hours, the phone charger where your USB cable is connected becomes really hot after like 30 minutes so if you forgot because you are enjoying during jamming session and its been hours or so, the charger might burn out. But I don't think that it can affect the unit itself.

Hello sorry for the late reply. I actually haven't tried it yet although I already bought the USB cable for my Zoom G1Four but havent tried it yet with Guitar Lab. Some Zoom G1Four/G1xFour users were saying that sometimes it's the USB cable incompatibility. I don't know how true it is because I havent personally tried it yet. Hope you can find the answer here on KZbin or on FB groups for Zoom G1Four. Wish you well.

Yes you can. The only thing that I notice with it is that it gets hot so don’t use it for longer rehearsals or gigs. I use rechargeable batteries. Because there’s no wire or plug to think about. But yeah the USB is totally fine. The unit can be powered via USB.

that's great. Yeah, I would say that this pedal works best as back up pedal or rehearsal pedal because the output can be used as headphones out. And it has cab sim as well. Hey Vincent! Maybe you can solve another mystery! How do you see how much battery is left? I can see where to switch between alkaline and rechargeable but I don't see the levels anywhere! It's pretty crazy, I've been searching the internet for an hour! Am I blind?

Im afraid, I couldn't find it either. But when the battery is low, it will flash Low Battery on the screen and it will still work for few minutes. So that it will give you enough time to continue playing if ever you're in the middle of the gig/recording. Then swap batteries. I know it's annoying that you can't see on screen how much battery is left. Hence I use rechargeable battery so that I charge it before using the pedal for a gig or rehearsals.

welcome and try the Ikea rechargeable batteries (LADDA batteries). It's really good. It will survive your busking. We rehearse for 4 hours. Obviously not straight 4 hours but we book the studio for 4 hours during rehearsals and the unit survive the whole rehearsals and I leave it on for the most part. So let's say a good 3 hours straight and the battery survives.

I haven’t encountered something like this. Normally it will turn on automatically if it’s peer supple and if batteries you need to put the jack first in the input.

I agree with you with the computer or robot sounding. I think it’s got to do with the amp. If it’s like an FR amp (flat response) it’s ok but if it’s a guitar amp like I used it with Marshall and last time with Vox during an open jam, it sounded terrible. But if I’m recording and use this direct to an audio interface or headphones this one sounds great. If you’re using an amp try and minimise the effects you’re using like if the amp has reverb, remove the reverb from the pedal or vice versa use the reverb of the pedal and turn off any effects from the amp ie reverb or chorus. Im not sure, may be its the adaptor. Did you use a center negative polarity 9v adaptor? Why not try it with batteries then plug in the guitar cable on the input.

I haven’t encountered this problem. In fact on this video I’m using a rechargeable battery that I bought from ikea and it’s working ok. I will try and find out because may be there’s a battery selection on the settings between Alkaline and Lithium and other kinds. May be you need to adjust on the settings. I’m not quite sure

I think they tend to emulate the individual stomp box pedal where it's activated by plugging the guitar cable in the input. But I do agree with you that most multi-effects pedals got on/off button especially the big ones. However, the small multi-effects pedals like Zoom G1xOn, G1Four, Digitech RP55, and Korg Ax10G and AX100G doesn't have on/off button.

Literally the only thing I don’t like about these is a lack of on/off button. Fortunately if you power it by micro usb (and I suppose 9v) it’s really easy to get switched off Amazon so you don’t have to keep plugging it in and out.

Yes sir, pero I would suggest nya you turn off yung mga built-in effects ng katana. If may reverb na ang Zoom pedal mo, off mo na lng reverb ng Katana. Tapos kng merong parang amp sim yung katana off mo din para di mag-clash sa amp sim ng Zoom. Pwede ding baliktad. Off mo yung reverb at amp sim from Zoom tapos dry lng yung gagamitin mo na tunog from Zoom pedal.

Di ko lng din sure kung eto yung solution kasi di ko pa na-encounter yang problem na yan. Brand new ba nabili yan sir or second-hand? Baka may nag-update or alter nyan dati. Pero normally pag restore to factory settings, dapat magre-reset sya sa orginal settings. Sorry talaga d ko alam paano. Baka meron yan dito makakasagot.

Boss kakabili ko lang ng g1xfour and yung gamit ko na power supply charger ng cellphone, ang pangit ng sound sir parang di nya malabas ng buo yung sound, iniisip ko baka kailangan dapat yung zoom power supply talaga gamitin pa help hehe

D ko pa natry sya gamitan nag phone charger pero sa Zoom G1xOn nagawa ko sya ok naman. Yung gamit ko ay generic na 9v charger ok naman sya at madalas gamit ko ay rechargeable battery.
