Anyway, the first time I heard this qawaali was in the film Junoon, where there is a short version as the film starts. I spent long years searching but never found a soundtrack of the film with it. A kind providence, however, ensured that I heard a better version…. the one by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and that too live.
