Megh is a sanskrit word meaning 'cloud' hence this raga is mostly sung or played in the Monsoon season. This raag was also one of the favorite raags of NFAK. He sang many songs in raag megh. The feeling of monsoon with the melodic composition is clearly visible in these songs of his.
